In summer， trees and grass is green. Mother Duck hatches four duck eggs in white fence. The birds are singing and dancing. It’s sunny and warm， Mother Duck lies in the stook（稻草堆）， waiting for the birth of her children.讓我們一起來(lái)欣賞江蘇省常州市武進(jìn)區(qū)星韻學(xué)校的同學(xué)們演繹丑小鴨的故事吧！

Narrator： It’s sunny and warm， Mother Duck lies in the

stook， waiting for the birth of her children.

Mother Duck： （stretches）Well， my babies， come out

quickly， please. I’m tired.

Narrator： Mother Duck touches the duck eggs. Suddenly， a duck egg moves. Duckling 1 breaks the eggshell. He stands up and looks around.

Duckling 1： Oh， what a beautiful world！

Ducklings： Hi， mummy！ Hi， mummy！

Duckling 4： （points to the last egg）Mum， why doesn’t it come out？

Mother Duck： （sighs）I spent too much time on it， but it still has no change.

Narrator： Suddenly， the egg cracks， and the Ugly Duckling slowly gets out. Mother Duck looks disappointed because the last duckling is very ugly.

Ugly Duckling： Hi， friends！ Nice to meet you！

Duckling 2： Wow， her feather is gray. She is too ugly！

Duckling 3： Look！ Her mouth is so big.

Ducklings： She is just an Ugly Duckling！ We don’ t like stay with her.

Mother Duck： Ah！ Why is she so ugly？ She doesn’t look like us.

Duckling 4： Mum， let’ s play games， OK？

Mother Duck： OK.

Ducklings： Yeah！

Duckling 2： Go away！ You are too ugly！

Ugly Duckling： I’m not beautiful， but I am your sister. I want to play with you.

Duckling 3： You can’ t play with us.

Narrator： Suddenly， duckling 1 falls down.

Ugly Duckling： I can help you up.

Duckling 1： I don’ t need your help.

Ducklings： Go away！

Duckling 1： Mum， I’m hungry.

Mother Duck： Oh， my children ， come here， eat some food.

Duckling 2： Don’t give the Ugly Duckling any food.

Mother Duck： Oh， don’t say that. She is your sister.

Duckling 3： Our sister？ Why is she so ugly？

Duckling 1： Oh， I’m very full and tired. I want to go home.

Mother Duck： OK. Let’s go home. My children， good night.

Narrator： The Ugly Duckling stands up and tries to get close to the other ducklings. Finally， the poor duckling sleeps in the corner.

Narrator： The Ugly Duckling runs away from her family. She is very thirsty and wants to drink some water.

Bird 1： It’s very hot today. Let me drink some water.

Birds 2： Look， something is over there. Let me go and have a look.

Bird 1： What’s this？

Birds 2： （surprisedly）Who are you？

Ugly Duckling： （whispers） I’m ... I’m a duckling.

Bird 1： Haha， look at your feathers. Gray and dirty！

Bird 2： Keep away from the clean water.

Narrator： “Boom，boom”. There is two gunshots. The Ugly Duckling screams， and the hound（獵犬） comes out.

Hound： Oh， what’ s in my way？ A duck！ My nice food！

Ugly Duckling： Oh， don’t touch me ...

Narrator： Winter comes. The Ugly Duckling feels very cold and lonely.

Ugly Duckling： Who can help me？

Narrator： No one. At last， she could not move anymore.

Narrator： Spring is coming. Mother Duck brings her children play in the water.

Duckling 1： Look， who are they？ So nice！

Duckling 2： Look at their feathers. So white and clean！

Duckling 3： They can dance very well.

Duckling 4： Look at the swan in the middle of them.

Duckling 1： Wow， she is the most beautiful one.

Duckling 2： Right！ I’ve never seen it before.

Duckling 3： Who’s she？

Ugly Duckling： Mum， mum.

Duckling 3： Mum？Who are you？

Ugly Duckling： Mum， it’s me. I’m the Ugly Duckling！

Mother Duck： Oh， look at yourself. So pretty！

Duckling 1： You’ re a pretty swan！ Look at yourself.

Duckling 2： Your feather is so white.

Duckling 3： Your neck is so slender.

Duckling 4： Your posture is so nice.

Mother Duck： You are the most graceful（優(yōu)雅的） ?bird in the world！

Ugly Duckling： （looks at the lake）Oh， my god！ Is this me？I’m no longer the Ugly Duckling， I am a pretty swan！

Swans： Hello， my lovely friends， come and play with us！
