廣義的巫山指巫山山脈，四川盆地東部湖北、重慶、湖南交界一帶南北走向的連綿群峰。不過現(xiàn)在人們提起巫山，多認(rèn)為是重慶市巫山縣。這里有膾炙人口的“三臺(tái)八景十二峰”景點(diǎn)群，對(duì)于迷戀大山大水的人來說，是必不可少的打卡地。

重慶是長江上游生態(tài)屏障的最后一道關(guān)口，巫山是長江流經(jīng)重慶的最后一站。重慶巫山地處三峽庫區(qū)腹心，可觀“一江碧水，兩岸青山，三峽紅葉，四季云雨”。

重慶巫山是中國著名的暴雨區(qū)，雨量充沛，雨水長期沖刷、侵蝕石灰質(zhì)山體，形成了氣勢崢嶸、姿態(tài)萬千的奇峰秀巒，十二峰為其中錦繡。巫山十二峰錯(cuò)落分布于長江南北兩岸，每岸六峰，各有特色，有的若金龍騰空，有的如雄獅昂首，有的像鳳凰展翅，有的又像亭亭玉立的少女，每一座都千姿百態(tài)，其中神女峰最為有名。

神女峰位于巫山縣城東約15公里處的巫峽大江北岸，一根巨石突兀于青峰云霞之中，宛若一個(gè)亭亭玉立、美麗動(dòng)人的少女。古人有“峰巒上入霄漢，山腳直插江中，議者謂太華、衡、廬，皆無此奇”之說。每當(dāng)云煙繚繞峰頂，那人形石柱像披上薄紗似的，更顯脈脈含情、嫵媚動(dòng)人。三峽大壩蓄水后，盡管游人可以泛舟神女的石榴裙下，但要想一睹其美麗容顏，仍需仰頭眺望。

春夏季節(jié)，巫山總是青翠一片，如果沒有暴雨突襲，江水緩緩流淌，映襯著兩岸的如畫美景。到了秋天，十二峰會(huì)變成一片五彩斑斕的世界，這也是巫山最驚艷、最迷人的季節(jié)?；鸺t的紅葉洋洋灑灑地落在峽谷之中，映紅了山川，微醺了江水，嬌媚和壯麗碰撞，在秋意中綻放出無邊的美麗。

若想體會(huì)李白“昨夜巫山下，猿聲夢里長”的意境，可乘船行在巫山的峽谷當(dāng)中，對(duì)面絕壁近在咫尺，腳下江水穿峽而過，郵輪和船只劃過水面，留下圈圈波紋，在陽光的照耀下閃著金光，心里不由也泛起了陣陣漣漪。

Wushan， in a broad sense， refers to the Wushan Mountains， the north-south rolling peaks at the junction of Hubei， Chongqing and Hunan in the east of the Sichuan Basin. However nowadays， when speaking of Wushan， most people may think of Wushan County， Chongqing. There are a popular group of attractions， “Three Terraces， Eight Sights and Twelve Peaks”， which are indispensable places for landscape lovers to take photos.

Chongqing is the last pass of the ecological barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River； Wushan is the last stop where the Yangtze River flows through Chongqing. Wushan in Chongqing is located at the center of the Three Gorges Reservoir area， where you can see “a clear river， green mountains on both banks， red leaves of the Three Gorges， as well as clouds and rain at all seasons”.

Wushan is a famous rainstorm area in China， which has abundant rainfall. Due to calcareous mountains under long-term erosion by rainwater， multifarious imposing peaks have been formed， and the Twelve Peaks are the most splendid among them.

The Fairy Peak is located on the north bank of the river in the Wu Gorge， about 15 kilometers east of Wushan County， where a huge rock stands on the green peak amid the clouds， like a slim and graceful maiden. Whenever cloud and mist wreathe the summit， the human-shaped stone pil- lar appears more charming as if it were covered with a gauze veil. After the impoundment of the Three Gorges Dam， tourists can sail under the peak， but still need to look up at its beautiful face.

I n s p r i n g a n d s u m m e r ， Wushan is always filled with green. If there is no rainstorm， the river will flow slowly， and reflect the picturesque scenery on both banks. In autumn， the Twelve Peaks will turn into a colorful world. It is also the most amazing and fascinating season in Wushan. Fiery-red leaves falling in the gorge dye the mountains and intoxicate the river. The collision between enchantment and splendor shows boundless beauty in autumn.
