國際奧委會近日正式宣布，最終確認七座城市申辦2016年奧運會。他們分別是巴庫、芝加哥、多哈、馬德里、布拉格、里約熱內(nèi)盧和東京。國際奧委會將于2009年10月在丹麥哥本哈根大會上選出舉辦城市。在此之前，申辦城市需要通過兩個階段的篩選。

Baku (Azerbaijan), Chicago (USA), Doha (Qatar), Madrid (Spain), Prague (Czech Republic), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Tokyo (Japan) have applied for the right to host the 2016 Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Friday.

According to IOC procedure, the cities will start Phase 1 work, which will eventually lead to the election of the 2016 host city in Copenhagen in October 2009.

During Phase 1, the applicants are required to present IOC their potential to organize successful Olympic Games in 2016 and should answer a questionnaire. At the end of this first phase, the IOC Executive Board selects the Candidate Cities.

In the Phase 2, a Candidature File describing their Olympic project will be submitted to the IOC and the IOC Evaluation Commission will assess it and send their assessment report to IOC members no later than one month before they cast their vote on 2 October 2009 in Copenhagen.

The IOC said Candidate Cities are due to participate in the IOC Observer Program during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in August 2008.

第一階段中，申請方需要向IOC展示自己可以成功舉辦2016年奧運會的潛能，并要回答一份問卷。最后，IOC執(zhí)行委員會從中選出候選城市。

第二階段中，描述候選城市奧運方案的候選資格文件將被提交給IOC，IOC評審委員會對其進行評估，并在最遲一個月內(nèi)，向IOC成員發(fā)放評審報告，之后，再于2009年10月在哥本哈根進行投票選舉。

IOC稱，候選城市應(yīng)于2008年8月北京舉辦奧運會期間，參與IOC觀察員計劃。
