Qing Dynasty, Yongzheng reign, white-glaze monk’s cap-shaped teapot
The name of the home of emperor Yongzheng before he succeeded to the throne is engraved at the bottom of the teapot. Porcelain bearing this symbol is usually exquisitely made.

The top of the vase looks like an onion, hence its name. Onion-head vases with two loop handles were an innovation in the Yongzheng years.
