This summer，an American high school student，Samuel Rasmussen，came to my house for home stay.Sam（Samuel’s nickname）is 17 years old.He was one member of the“United States Department of the State Youth Visiting Study Mission”.The teacher of the International Students Office said that this group of students was excellent，who were selected from all American high schools.

Sam is a very out-going boy.Mom showed him around East China Normal University (ECNU) the first day he came to our house.And my Dad，who was at a meeting in Wenzhou，gave Sam a ring and said“hello”.Sam said happily that the moment he stepped into our house，he then had a very warm and happy feeling.Mom was happy to hear that.We even treated Sam like a member of our family.This picture was about Sam and me taking a picture on the grass in front of the ECNU library.Look! How happy we were！

Sam likes studying very much.He is a senior at East High School in Salt Lake City.But Sam is not a bookworm at all.His hobbies are very rich.He told me there is a table tennis room in his own apartment.And his father and brother are both very good at playing table tennis.This is a picture of us playing ping-pong at the university activity centre of ECNU.

Maybe you don’t believe there is a swimming pool in Sam’s own house，and it is just smaller than ECNU’s.Needless to say，Sam is a swimming expert.Look! Sam was teaching me to learn swimming.With his patient help，my courage was greater，and I also learned several new swimming skills.

Sam doesn’t only like sports，but also likes music.He is a happy boy，who likes singing very much.Look，at the farewell party，Sam was singing with his classmates freely and happily.

My thoughts were deep in this unforgettable song.Tomorrow，Sam would leave China with his Youth Visiting Study Mission.I was a bit reluctant to part.Dear Sam，I wish you could visit China again in the future，and we could meet again at that time.

今年暑假，一名美國(guó)高中生塞繆爾·拉斯穆森來(lái)我家暫住。山姆（塞繆爾的昵稱）今年17 歲，是“美國(guó)國(guó)務(wù)院青年訪學(xué)團(tuán)”的成員之一。留學(xué)生辦公室的老師說(shuō)，這批青年訪學(xué)團(tuán)成員是從全美高中學(xué)校甄選出來(lái)的最優(yōu)秀學(xué)生代表。

山姆是個(gè)隨和開朗的男孩。來(lái)我們家的第一天，我和媽媽帶他在師大校園里逛了一圈。在溫州開會(huì)的爸爸則是通過(guò)電話向山姆問(wèn)好。山姆高興地說(shuō)，一到我們的家，他就有一種賓至如歸的溫馨感覺。媽媽聽了很高興。我們已經(jīng)把山姆當(dāng)作親人一般看待。此圖是我們?cè)趲煷髨D書館門前的草坪上合影。瞧，我們多開心??！

山姆很愛學(xué)習(xí)，現(xiàn)在是美國(guó)鹽湖城向東高級(jí)中學(xué)的學(xué)生。但山姆絕不是個(gè)“書呆子”。他的課余愛好非常豐富。他告訴我說(shuō)，在他自己家里就設(shè)有乒乓室。他很喜歡打乒乓，他的爸爸、他的哥哥都是乒乓能手呢。此圖是我跟山姆在華師大的大學(xué)生活動(dòng)中心打乒乓的情景。

你可能不相信，在山姆自己的家里，就設(shè)有游泳池呢。只不過(guò)山姆家里的游泳池不像華師大公共游泳池這么大罷了。不用說(shuō)，山姆是個(gè)游泳能手。瞧，山姆正在教我學(xué)游泳呢。在他的耐心幫助下，我在水里的膽子更大了。我還新學(xué)了幾個(gè)游泳技巧呢。

山姆不但愛運(yùn)動(dòng)，而且很喜歡音樂。他是個(gè)快樂的男生，特別愛唱歌。瞧，歡送會(huì)上，山姆大方地上臺(tái)，和他的同伴們一起引亢高歌呢。

我的思緒深深地沉浸在這難忘的歌聲里。明天，山姆就要跟隨青年訪學(xué)團(tuán)回美國(guó)了。我不禁有些依依不舍。親愛的山姆，但愿你將來(lái)還有機(jī)會(huì)來(lái)中國(guó)，但愿我們?cè)谏虾＿€能再相見。
