Objective To observe the effect of different doses of rosuvastatin calcium on blood-fat in elderly patients with cerebral ischemic stroke. Methods Fifty elderly patients with dyslipidemia were randomly divided into low dose trial group (rosuvastatin calcium 5 mg/d) and high dose trial group (rosuvastatin calcium 10 mg/d), 25 cases patients in each group. Blood lipid was tested before and after 8 weeks respectively. Results 8 weeks after treatment, the two groups of total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein(LDL-C), triglycerides(TG) levels were reduced(P<0.01), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) were raised(P<0.01). High dose treatment group compared with low dose treatment group blood-fat change was more obvious(P<0.05). Conclusions Different doses of rosuvastatin calcium(5, 10 mg) can effectively improve blood lipid level in elderly patients with cerebral ischemic stroke.
