If youre someone who wants to be outstanding， you must have found by now that there will always be those who are jealous1 or hateful of your success.

如果你是個(gè)渴望變得卓越出眾的人，現(xiàn)在你應(yīng)該已經(jīng)發(fā)現(xiàn)周圍總有些人嫉妒甚至憎恨你的成就了吧。

It doest matter that youve worked long and hard to get where you are， nor that youve made great sacrifices2 in achieving your goals. The “haters” will always find a reason to criticize and even condemn3 you.

無論你為了今天的自己付出過多少努力，為了自己的目標(biāo)做出過多大的犧牲，那些“恨”你的人總會(huì)找出各種理由來批評(píng)指責(zé)你。

These hateful people are unwilling to do the work that youve done； they rarely make the same kinds of sacrifices or put in the long， hard hours. They resent4 your success but are too lazy to invest real time or energy to pursue5 their own goals.

那些嫉妒你的人不愿意去做你所做的事，不愿意做出同樣大的犧牲，花同樣多的時(shí)間去努力。他們嫉妒你的成功卻往往懶于花費(fèi)時(shí)間和精力去追求他們自己的目標(biāo)。

Its true that we arent always going to succeed in our life， even if we put in the time and effort. Results are never guaranteed6 and life has a way of throwing curve balls at us.

誠(chéng)然，即使我們付出了時(shí)間和努力，也不是一定就會(huì)成功，誰也不能保證生活一定會(huì)給我們很好的回饋，它有時(shí)會(huì)扔給我們一個(gè)曲線球。

I loved it when Tina Fey went up to collect her Golden Globe and held it high， saying， “This is for all the haters！” Shes a good example of a talented， hard-working and successful person whos received a large amount of negative press， but she refuses to let them get to her.

我喜歡蒂娜·菲在上臺(tái)領(lǐng)金球獎(jiǎng)時(shí)說的話，她高舉獎(jiǎng)杯說道，“這個(gè)獎(jiǎng)杯歸功于那些討厭我的人！”蒂娜就是個(gè)因才華出眾、工作努力而取得成功的典范。在此之前，她曾有過無數(shù)的負(fù)面新聞，但她從未讓這些負(fù)面輿論影響到自己。

The thing you need to know is that they hates you only because you have something they want but they arent willing to work for it.

你必須知道，那些人嫉妒你的唯一原因就是你擁有他們想要的東西，而他們卻不愿憑借自己的努力去得到那些東西。

The haters believe that youve been lucky or that youve had some unfair7 advantage， but the truth is that your success is born of your constant efforts， and its these efforts that have brought about your “l(fā)uck”.

他們認(rèn)為你僅僅是因?yàn)樾疫\(yùn)或者“走后門”才取得了今天的成就，而事實(shí)是你的確付出了不懈的努力，而恰恰是這些努力給你帶來了所謂的“幸運(yùn)”。

The best way to deal with haters is what I call the “one-two punch”.

First， dont let them influence you. Be happy about your success and proud of your accomplishments8. Receive the approval9 and praise from those who support you and never doubt that you deserve all this. The haters are angry， jealous people. What they think or say is meaningless.

應(yīng)對(duì)那些嫉妒你的人的最好方式就是這套“組合拳”：

第一，別讓他們影響到你。為你自己取得的成就感到高興和自豪吧！接受那些支持你的人對(duì)你的認(rèn)可和贊美，并相信自己值得這些贊譽(yù)。那些討厭你的人都只是善妒易怒的人，不管他們?cè)趺聪朐趺凑f，對(duì)你來說毫無意義。

Next， the more the haters annoys you， the more you should be motivated10 to succeed. They want to destroy you but your response should be to work much harder in order to increase your level of success.

其次，那些討厭你的人越是來煩擾你，你越要有積極向上的動(dòng)力。要對(duì)付他們的暗中詆毀，你需要加倍努力來獲得更進(jìn)一步的成功。

When your reaction to their hostility11 has inspired you to have further success， youve made the haters hostility into fuel for your creative fires. Not only can they not hurt you but theyve spurred12 you on to even greater heights.

當(dāng)他們的敵意激發(fā)你取得更進(jìn)一步的成功時(shí)，他們的惡言惡語就已轉(zhuǎn)化為你前進(jìn)之火的燃料。這樣，他們不但沒有傷害到你，反而鞭策你更上一層樓。
