兩只鳥

Teacher:Here are two birds,one is a swallow1,the other is a sparrow2.Now who can tell uswhich is a swallow and which is a sparrow?

Student:Ican not point outbut Iknow the answer.

Teacher:Please tell us.

Student:The swallow is beside the sparrow and the sparrow is beside the swallow.

老師：這兒有兩只鳥，一只是燕子，另一只是麻雀?，F(xiàn)在誰能告訴大家哪只是燕子，哪只是麻雀呢？

學(xué)生：我指不出，但我知道答案。

老師：請(qǐng)說說看吧。

學(xué)生：麻雀旁邊的就是燕子，燕子旁邊的就是麻雀。

Kate:Mom,do you know what I’m going to give you for your birthday?

M om:No,honey,what?

Kate:A nice teapot3.

M om:But I’ve got a nice teapot.

Kate:No,you haven’t.I’ve just dropped it.

媽媽：不知道，寶貝，是什么呀？

I’m only driver of the bus!

我才是司機(jī)！

A short youngman was running behind a buswhich was full of passengers.But the bus still ran at a great speed.

“Stop,stop,”a passenger looked out of the window,and shouted at the young man,“you can’t catch it!”

“Imust,”the young fellow said,out of breath,“because I’m only driver of the bus!”

一位小個(gè)子年輕人在一輛滿載乘客的公共汽車后面追著跑。汽車仍在高速前進(jìn)。

“停下吧，”一位乘客把頭伸出窗子，對(duì)小個(gè)子年輕人喊道，“你追不上的！”

“我必須追上，”小個(gè)子氣喘吁吁地說道，“因?yàn)槲也攀撬緳C(jī)！”
