Tb/Fe50Mn50多層膜層間與界面交換耦合的研究

摘要:采用磁控濺射技術(shù)制備了span多層膜,用Versalab振動(dòng)樣品磁強(qiáng)計(jì)測(cè)量薄膜樣品在不同溫度下的磁滯回線,研究了span多層膜體系矯頑力和溫度、薄膜層數(shù)及反鐵磁層厚度的關(guān)系,以及薄膜鐵磁層與反鐵磁層界面耦合作用和鐵磁層的層間耦合作用.研究發(fā)現(xiàn)鐵磁層與反鐵磁層的界面耦合作用隨溫度升高而增加,且存在隨薄膜厚度增加而增大的轉(zhuǎn)變溫度Tspan.當(dāng)T

0引言
對(duì)磁性納米多層膜材料的研究無(wú)論在凝聚態(tài)物理理論還是在磁記錄讀出頭中的自旋閥、巨磁電阻隨機(jī)存儲(chǔ)器、磁性傳感器等實(shí)際應(yīng)用中都有重大意義.1986年在Fe/Cr/Fe結(jié)構(gòu)中首次觀察到Fe層之間的反鐵磁耦合作用[1],與此同時(shí),在Cr/Y超晶格中發(fā)現(xiàn)了鐵磁耦合與反鐵磁耦合振蕩現(xiàn)象[2],Parkin等在Co/Ru,Co/Cr,Co/Cu及Fe/Cr多層膜中發(fā)現(xiàn)了層間耦合的振蕩以及巨磁電阻效應(yīng),且研究表明這種振蕩現(xiàn)象與多層膜夾層種類厚度有密切關(guān)系[3].但目前尚未有一個(gè)完整的理論能夠很好地解釋交換耦合作用,而且對(duì)這兩種耦合作用的相互關(guān)系的研究少有報(bào)道.

其中J(0)是0K時(shí)的耦合作用強(qiáng)度,T0=?VF/2πKDd為特征溫度,d為中間層厚度.由上式可見(jiàn)鐵磁層間耦合作用隨溫度單調(diào)變化,當(dāng)中間層為金屬時(shí),J(T)隨溫度升高而減小,當(dāng)中間層為絕緣體時(shí),J(T)隨溫度升高而增大[6].因此,在本實(shí)驗(yàn)中,可以假設(shè)鐵磁層間耦合作用強(qiáng)度隨溫度升高而逐漸降低.

Interface Coupling and Interlayer Coupling in Tb/Fe50Mn50 Multilayers

Abstract:The hysteresis loops of Tb/Fe50Mn50multilayers which are fabricated by dc magnetron sputtering are measured by Vibrating Sample Magneto(Versalab) at different temperatures. This paper investigates the relations among the coercivity of Fe50Mn50, temperature, layers and the thickness of antiferromagnetic layer, as well as the interface interactions between FM layer and AFM layer and the interlayer coupling between Tb layers. It is showed that the interface coupling gets stronger as the temperature increases, and a transitional temperature Tspan, which increases with the thickness of the film, is observed. Due to the interface coupling, at T < Tspan, coercivity decreases, and while at T >Tspan, coercivity increases. For the interlayer coupling, it oscillates between magnetic coupling and antimagnetic coupling with the thickness of Fe50Mn50at T < Tspan, interlayer coupling decreases with increasing temperature, and while at T >Tspan, interlayer coupling becomes stronger obviously.
