作為兩次格萊美獎(jiǎng)、一次MTV音樂錄影帶大獎(jiǎng)的獲得者，現(xiàn)年19歲的新西蘭音樂才女Lorde在2014年9月30日發(fā)布了自己為電影《饑餓游戲3：嘲笑鳥（上）》（The Hunger Games： Mockingjay Part I）創(chuàng)作并演唱的歌曲“Yellow Flicker Beat”。Lorde表示，這首歌是她在深刻理解電影主人公Katniss的想法的基礎(chǔ)上創(chuàng)作的。Lorde用自己空靈而略微沙啞的獨(dú)特嗓音恰如其分地表達(dá)了Katniss心中的悲苦、無(wú)奈和傷痛。這首歌節(jié)奏由舒緩到強(qiáng)烈，猶如涓涓細(xì)流匯入洶涌大海，在高潮處噴薄而出，震撼人心。

在MV中，Lorde也打造了一個(gè)特立獨(dú)行的形象。她或是獨(dú)自在空蕩蕩的房間中歌唱，或是呆坐在水池邊、車站里，或是深夜在寂靜的公路上亂舞，她特有的陰郁與周圍的環(huán)境顯得格格不入，十分怪異。就如影片中民眾不懂Katniss的內(nèi)心，只把她當(dāng)成全民的希望、率眾起義的英雄，可誰(shuí)又了解她的孤獨(dú)無(wú)助，誰(shuí)又明白她所做的一切只不過(guò)是為了保護(hù)自己的家人……

從這首歌中，我們體會(huì)到了英雄苦苦掙扎的不易以及他們背后的辛酸、淚水和汗水，明白了英雄也只不過(guò)是一介凡人，只是被逆境所迫罷了，就如電影《奔騰年代》（Seabiscuit）中的一句臺(tái)詞：We never know how high we are till we are called to rise. 你我雖非英雄，卻也應(yīng)聆聽英雄的心聲，體味英雄的苦楚，做個(gè)善解英雄意的平凡人。
