"一……就……"的幾種常見(jiàn)表達(dá)方式

漢語(yǔ)中的“一……就……”句式在英語(yǔ)中有多種表達(dá)方式，現(xiàn)將幾種常用的表達(dá)方式歸納如下：

一、連詞

1.as soon as

I'll ring you up as soon as I get a reply from Lucy.我一得到露西的答復(fù)就給你打電話。

As soon as he got well，he went back to school.他病一好就回去上學(xué)了。

2.no sooner...than...

She had no sooner gone to bed than the telephone rang.她剛一上床睡覺(jué)，電話鈴就響了。

No sooner had I left my home than it began to rain.我剛一離開(kāi)家，天就下雨了。

注意：no sooner位于句首時(shí)，前一個(gè)分句要用倒裝語(yǔ)序。

3.hardly/scarcely...when...

I had hardly reached the airport when the plane took off.我剛一到達(dá)機(jī)場(chǎng)，飛機(jī)就起飛了。

Hardly/scarcely had I explained when he said he still didn't understand.我剛剛解釋完，他就說(shuō)他仍然不明白。

注意：當(dāng)hardly/scarcely位于句首時(shí)，前一個(gè)分句要用倒裝語(yǔ)序。

4.directly/instantly（=as soon as）

We get up directly the bell rings.鈴一響，我們就起床。

He made for the door directly he heard the knock.一聽(tīng)到敲門(mén)聲，他就跑去開(kāi)門(mén)了。

I recognized her instantly I saw her.我一見(jiàn)到她就認(rèn)出她了。

He telephoned his mother instantly he arrived in London.他一到達(dá)倫敦就給他媽媽打電話。

5.the instant/minute/moment（that）（=as soon as）

The girl began to cry the instant she read the letter.那女孩一讀那封信就哭了起來(lái)。

I'll tell my daughter about it the minute she comes back home.當(dāng)我女兒一回到家，我就把這件事告訴她。

The moment I began to speak，he cut in.我一開(kāi)始說(shuō)話，他就插嘴。

The soldiers rushed out of the room the moment they heard a cry for help.戰(zhàn)士們一聽(tīng)到呼救聲就沖出了房間。

二、介詞

1.at

The engineer saw at a glance what was wrong.工程師一眼就看出毛病在哪里。

2.on

On his return he was greeted by a large crowd.他一回來(lái)就受到一大群人的歡迎。

3.with

With the first appearance of the sun，the birds began to sing.太陽(yáng)一出來(lái)，鳥(niǎo)兒就開(kāi)始歌唱
