      【Abstract】This paper discusses the characteristics of foreign advanced teaching material “Beyond the Target”, and fully exploit the use of this set of textbooks in teaching on students' learning strategy training practice.

      English curriculum standard divides learning strategy into basic learning strategy, cognitive strategy, control strategy, communication strategy and resource strategy. Cognitive strategy refers to the steps and methods that students take to complete the task of learning. Control strategy refers to the students to learn to plan, implement, reflect, evaluate and adjust the strategy. Communication strategy is a variety of strategies for students to take in order to gain more opportunities for communication, to maintain communication and to improve the effectiveness of communication. Resource strategy is a reasonable and effective method for students to use multimedia to learn and use English. Learning strategies can not only improve the quality and effectiveness of English learning, reduce the burden of student learning, but also accord with the modern society advocated the idea of lifelong learning, so that students can be in after entering society truly independent of lifelong learning, and teaching strategies can promote each other and improve teaching efficiency. And the results also show that the less successful foreign language learners can learn from successful foreign language learners' learning strategies. This provides a theoretical basis for the training and training of students learning strategies in the classroom.
