When my daughter was 4,we went into a store. There was a man there that was physically handicapped①handicapped英 ['h?nd?k?pt] 美 ['h?nd?k?pt]adj. 殘廢的；有生理缺陷的n. 殘疾人；缺陷者. My daughter walked up to him (very confi dently) and asked"what's wrong with your legs?" I wanted to crawl④crawl 英 [kr??l] 美 [kr?l] vi. 爬行；匍匐行進(jìn)vt. 爬行；緩慢地行進(jìn)n. 爬行；養(yǎng)魚池；匍匐而行under a rock!!

This man was absolutely AMAZING with her! He looked down at her, smiled and said "God didn't give me good legs like you have so he gave me these (indicating his crutches)." That was enough to satisfy her curiosity. He looked at me and smiled and said that I had a beautiful child.

He was pleased that she asked instead of being afraid of him because he was different.

I was truly embarrassed when she asked him her question,but so amazed at his gracious⑤gracious 英 ['gre???s] 美 ['ɡre??s]adj. 親切的；高尚的；和藹的；雅致的answer.

女兒四歲的時(shí)候，我們一起去商店。有個(gè)身體殘疾的男士，他的雙腿瘦如柴，彎曲著，走路時(shí)拄著拐杖。

女兒徑直向他走了上去（很自信地），問道：“你的腿怎么了？”我當(dāng)時(shí)真想找個(gè)石頭縫鉆進(jìn)去！

意外的是，這位男士對她非常好！他低頭看著女兒，微笑著回答：“上帝沒有給我一雙像你一樣的好腿，所以給了我這個(gè)（指他的拐杖）?！边@個(gè)回答足夠滿足女兒的好奇心了。這位男士看著我笑道，你有一個(gè)很漂亮的孩子。

他很高興，因?yàn)榕畠簡査⒉灰驗(yàn)樗牟煌涂謶炙?/p>

對于女兒問問題，我超級尷尬，但他大方優(yōu)雅的回答，把我驚艷到了。
