A Chemist Caught a Thief

Ross was a chemist and a millionaire by virtue of his patent technology in chemistry. After becoming wealthy, Ross was addicted to collecting famous antiques and paintings. He was lavished with many exquisite world-famous paintings and precious antiques, put them at his living room and invited his guests for appreciation.

One day when he was traveling, someone came into his house and stole some antiques and a painting worth over$200,000. Moreover, when he was about to leave, the thief even drank half bottle of the wine on the table. Seeing it,Ross had an idea.

The theft filled the evening newspaper that night. At the end of the news was a statement by Ross. Surprisingly,the other day, the moment someone showed up at Ross’s,the undercover police came out and caught the man. After being interrogated, the man admitted to have committed the burglary.

So what made the thief come back?

In fact, the statement by Ross was: I am Ross, a chemist.Today when I came back, I found the liquid on the green bottle on my table was drunk by someone. It was not wine but a toxic chemical liquid. Whoever drank it should come to my house to have the antidote, or he may die within two days. Please share this statement after reading. Many thanks.

化學(xué)家羅斯憑借自己在化學(xué)領(lǐng)域的專利技術(shù)，成為百萬富翁。有了錢的羅斯喜歡上古玩名畫，不惜一擲千金，買了很多精美絕倫的世界名畫和珍貴文物，放在自家的客廳里，經(jīng)常邀一幫客人來把玩欣賞。

一天，主人外出旅游之際，一幅價值二十多萬美元的名畫及一批古玩不翼而飛。小偷臨走之際，還順手牽羊，把桌子上的一瓶名酒給喝了一半。羅斯頓時有了主意。

當(dāng)天的晚報上，刊登了羅斯家失竊的新聞，新聞的末尾還附有羅斯的一份聲明。第二天晚上，就有人來敲羅斯家的門。躲在屋里的警察馬上沖出來抓住這個人，一審問，這個人對入室盜竊一事供認(rèn)不諱。

是什么原因使小偷主動送上門來的呢？

原來，羅斯在晚報上登的聲明是：我是化學(xué)家羅斯，今天回家，我發(fā)現(xiàn)家中桌子上綠色酒瓶里的液體被人喝了幾口。那不是酒，是有毒的液體。誰喝了快到我家來服解藥，否則兩天內(nèi)必有生命危險。請讀者閱后相互轉(zhuǎn)告，萬分感謝。
