大學英語課堂教學中，教師通過圖表展示所提出的問題，有利于幫助學生更加清晰理解課文每個段落內(nèi)容主旨。《新編大學英語綜合教程》第三冊第五單元“How I Discovered Words”，是關于美國聾啞女作家海倫·凱勒如何在老師安妮·沙莉文的悉心指導下學習單詞的過程。教師可運用圖表給學生逐一展示課文重難點。

一、圖表展示海倫·凱勒生命中最重要的一天

首先，教師針對文章第一段提問：

然后再提出兩個小問題讓學生思考2分鐘后，口述答案，填寫在圖表的右欄。

教師針對第四至九段提問并設置若干小問題，之后學生口頭回答。
