Song Hua is a well-known contemporary painter in the area of flower-and-bird painting， who forms his own unique style in exploring the selection of painting theme and artistic language.

In terms of painting theme， Song is very fond of painting lotus flowers and leaves with a strong sense of color in autumn and winter.He also likes painting pomegranate that has the Chinese folk custom elements.

Song Hua focuses on creating art conception in his paintings. While painting birds and flowers， he integrates the scenery with Chinese traditional poetry， making his paintings more beautiful.

宋華在當代花鳥畫界是非常有名的一位中年畫家。他在花鳥題材的選擇和花鳥畫藝術語言的探索上，都相對形成了自己的獨特面貌。

比如說他酷愛畫荷花，當然，他的荷花，和我們所看到別人畫的荷花，和古人畫的荷花，并不完全相同。他尤其喜歡畫秋天和冬天的荷葉，畫出富有色彩感的荷花。當然，他的荷花不是寫實型的荷花，而是穿越時空進入了一種歷史的隧道。

他特別喜愛畫在麻布上，實際上用麻布畫他的工筆花鳥，形成了獨特的繪畫語式。畫在麻布上有一種仿古宣的效果，容易達成古雅古樸的藝術品格。

更為重要的是他通過渲染和勾線，反復的染和洗，在顏色和勾線的處理上，能夠更深入地浸透到麻布上，使色和勾線仿佛從麻布深處滲透出來，所以他的作品特別耐看，和我們看到的一般畫在紙上或絹上的很不一樣。此外，因為麻布特殊的色澤，也使畫面感特別容易統(tǒng)一。

在題材上，除了荷花，宋華也喜歡畫具有民俗色彩的石榴。石榴的文化寓意是多子多孫多福多壽。當然，他畫的這樣一種石榴都是秋風老石榴，應該說畫出了石榴籽這種鮮紅的感受。

當然，他也喜歡畫繡球、閑花野草，體現(xiàn)出一種民俗和民生的情懷。

宋華在所有的花鳥畫里都注重意境的表現(xiàn)，畫的是花和鳥，但是他把中國詩詞的意境與畫面有機地結合在一起，使他的畫既耐看，也特別富有詩意，體現(xiàn)了當代工筆花鳥畫家重新回歸傳統(tǒng)文化、凸顯中國畫的民族文化品格這樣一種精神。

Song Hua was born in 1962 in Xuzhou city of Southeast Chinas Jiangsu province and further studied at the art department， Nanjing University of the Arts in 1988. He now is a national senior artist of the Minhang Masses Art Gallery of Shanghai， and a member of Chinese Artists Association. His works have been displayed at national and international art exhibitions several times and collected by a large number of individuals and art museums.

His six albums of flower-and-bird paintings have been published in recent years by Higher Education Press， Peoples Fine Arts Publishing House， American Geodhuis Contemporary Gallery， Hebei Education Press and Shanghai Calligraphy and Painting Press.

宋華，1962年生于江蘇徐州。1988年進入南京藝術學院美術系深造?，F(xiàn)為上海市閔行區(qū)群眾藝術館國家高級美術師，中國美術家協(xié)會會員，作品曾多次參加由中國美術家協(xié)會舉辦的美術大展，許多作品被中南海、美術館、博物館收藏。

1993至1998年 4次赴香港舉辦個人畫展；

1994年應邀赴法國巴黎舉辦個人畫展；

《酣秋》被前任法國總統(tǒng)希拉克收藏并簽寫收藏證書；

1998年應邀赴科威特舉辦個人畫展；

2004年起美術作品由美國Goedhuis Contmpory畫廊代理；

2005年應邀赴美國紐約舉辦個人畫展。
