每個(gè)人小的時(shí)候,都會(huì)有許許多多的夢(mèng)想,如想成為教師、明星、科學(xué)家或是宇航員……“我”小時(shí)候有什么樣的夢(mèng)想呢?“我”一直都在堅(jiān)守“我”的夢(mèng)想嗎?有什么經(jīng)歷影響“我”的夢(mèng)想嗎?“我”對(duì)夢(mèng)想有什么不一樣的見解嗎?
As children,we all dream of what we want to be when we grow up.Often,many young children will say that they want to be actors or singers,pop stars or models.Some will say that they want to become teachers,firefighters,police officers.Others want to be astronauts,scientists or explorers.
When I was younger,I wanted to be afashion designer.I went to London Fashion Weekend,the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham and worked very hard at school to get good grades.At first,Iapplied to studyfashion design at university.When I got there,I hated the course.For some reason,which is still unknown to me,Ino longerwanted to become part of the fashion industry.
I now study French,but I still don't know what I want to do when I finish university.This year,I have been working as a language assistant.Over the past seven months,I've taught English tohundreds ofstudents.I've shared my culture with them;it's been a truly great experience.At the start ofthe year,some students wouldn't dare to say a word;now,it's as though they're different people.Wonderful as this experience has been,I'm still not sure that I want to go into teaching.
I think that our choices canbe deeply influenced byour parents.Some parents only want their children to study subjects like engineering(工程學(xué)),maths,science or medicine.This can make young peoplefeel pressured into studyingcertain subjects,which can be stressful.
There's no hurry to decide what you want to do with the rest of your life.There's always time topursue a different career path!
