●句型梳理

1.What does your friend look like?

“What does sb.look like?”用于詢問某人的長相，意為“某人長什么樣？”，回答要用“sb.be+形容詞”“sb.be of+n.”或“sb.have/has+adj.+n.”等句型。例如：

—What does Cathy look like?卡西長什么樣？

—She's tall,and she has black hair.她個子很高，一頭黑發(fā)。

【拓展】“What's sb.like?”用于詢問某人的性格、品質(zhì)等，意為“某人是個什么樣的人？”。例如：

—What's Ruth like?魯思是個什么樣的人呢？

—She's quiet and a little shy.她很文靜，有點害羞。

2.Is he tall or short?

該句是選擇疑問句。選擇疑問句的構(gòu)成：“一般疑問詞+備選對象+or+另一個備選對象?”或“特殊疑問詞+備選對象+or+另一個備選對象?”。例如：

Shall we go there by bus,bike or train?我們乘公共汽車、騎自行車還是坐火車去？

Would you like some tea or coffee?你要茶水還是咖啡？

Which would you like best，English,Chinese or Math?你最喜歡哪門學(xué)科，英語、語文還是數(shù)學(xué)？

【拓展】回答選擇疑問句時，一般在所提供的備選對象范圍內(nèi)選擇，有時也要視具體情況做靈活處理，但不能用“Yes/No”來回答，而要用一個完整的陳述句或其簡略形式。

3.May I take your order?

這是飯店服務(wù)員請顧客點菜時的用語，意為“您要點菜了嗎？/可以點菜了嗎？/您要點什么？/要點菜（點餐）嗎？”。如果是顧客問服務(wù)員，則應(yīng)說“May I order， please?”。
