近幾年來，高考英語試題中，形容詞和副詞的比較級考點較多，考法靈活?，F(xiàn)歸納如下，以饗讀者。

一、看清“否定詞 ＋比較級 ＝最高級”

1.… not…（ever）… ＋比較級… 或… never… ＋比較級…

①It's couldn't be better.那就最好了。

②He has never spent a worrying day.他度過了最焦慮的一天。

2.nothing/nobody...＋比較級 ＋than…

①Nothing is more precious than time.沒有比時間更珍貴的了。

②Nobody loves money better than my neighbour.沒有比我的鄰居更喜歡錢的人了。

【高考題】（2011全國Ⅱ，17）Mr Stevenson is great to work for－－－I really couldn't ask for a_____boss

A.better B.good C.best D.still better

解析：根據(jù)句意，為史蒂文森工作非常好－－－－－我實在不能找到一位（比他）更好的老板了。比較級與否定詞連用表示最高級含義。故答案A.

二、分析比較級之前的冠詞（泛指用a；兩者之中特指用the；固定結(jié)構(gòu)也用the）。

①She has never seen a better film.她從未看過更好的電影。

②Of the two，he is the taller.在兩個人當中，他是更高的。

【高考題】（2012全國Ⅰ.26）The result is not very important to us.But if we do win，then so much_____

A.the best B.better C.best D.the better解析：根據(jù)語境，只有兩種結(jié)果：輸或贏。后句句意：但是如果我們真的贏了，結(jié)果當然是更好了，much修飾比較級，又表示兩者中更好的特指結(jié)果，故答案D

三、掌握比較級的連用

A.表示“越來越……”

①單音節(jié)單詞，用結(jié)構(gòu)“比較級 ＋and＋比較級”

如：bigger and bigger longer and longer；fewer and fewer

②多音節(jié)單詞，用結(jié)構(gòu)“more and more＋多音節(jié)詞或less and less＋多音節(jié)詞”如：more and more important

B.表示“越…… 就越……”結(jié)構(gòu)為“the比較級…，the＋比較級 ”

The more carefully you study，the fewer mistakes you will make.你學得越認真，你犯的錯誤就越少。

【高考題】（2010.西城考試）In some people's opinions，the______powerful the country becomes，the_____pleasant it is to live in.

A.most；fewer B.more；fewer C.more；less D.most；less

解析：此題考查形容詞的比較級。句意：在一些人看來，國家變得越強大，住在里面就越不舒服。因powerful和pleasant都是多音節(jié)單詞，他們的比較級是其前面加more或less.故選答案C

四、熟記比較級的習慣用語

more than大于；超過；不僅僅；非常other than除了rather than并非、而不是once more＝once again再一次some more再來一些more than once＝often不止一次anymore還有一些 no more than僅僅 less than少于、不到 a little more還有一點兒a few more還有幾個no more不再much mor更加；更不必說了more or less或多或少；大約sooner or later遲早all the better越發(fā)好

【高考題】（2011.全國Ⅱ ，17）If you would like to make a trip to my city some day，I will be______than happy.

A.good B.better C.more D.less

解析：根據(jù)句意：如果你愿意有一天來我市旅行，我將非常高興?！癿ore than＋形容詞”表示 “非常”。故選答案C.

五、學好復合形容詞的比較級

well－known（著名的）better－known the best－known

good－looking（好看的）better－looking best－looking

【高考題】（2005.全國.11）No other place in China is______than Beijing

A.well－known B.better－known C.more－known D.most famous解析：本題考查復合形容詞well－known的比較級better known，而非more－known.故選答案B

六、區(qū)分“not＋比較級 ＋than”表示“一方不如另一方”；“no＋比較級 ＋than”表示“前者和后者一樣都不……”

①The first winner is not more than 9 years old.第一個獲勝者年齡不到9歲。

②The first winner is no more than 9 years old.第一個獲勝者年僅9歲。

七、使用比較級應注意的幾點

1.比較的對象要一致Their classroom is brighter than ours（ours＝our classroom）他們的教室比我們的明亮。

2.用比較級表示最高級時要考慮到比較的范圍 than any other＋名詞（前后范圍一致）；than any＋名詞（前后范圍不一致）

①He is taller than any other student in his class.他比他班的任何一個別的學生都要高。

②Shanghai is larger than any city in Africa.上海比非洲的任何一個城市都要大。

八、細細辨別比較級常見的錯誤

1.修飾詞出現(xiàn)錯誤：more不可以修飾比較級，但可以用much來加強比較級，譯為“…得多” ①She looks more younger than I.（×）②She looks much younger than I.（√）她看上去比我年輕得多。

2.比較的對象或范圍出現(xiàn)錯誤 ①The weather of Lanzhou is colder than Shanghai.（×）②The weather of Lanzhou is colder than that of Shanghai.（√）蘭州的天氣要比上海冷。
