一、教材分析
本課所選內容是高等教育出版社中等職業(yè)教育課程改革國家規(guī)劃新教材《英語基礎模塊》 第2版第2冊《Its time to change.》(Reading)。本課話題有關健康生活,是學生比較感興趣的內容。通過本課教學,能增強學生學習英語的興趣,培養(yǎng)學生健康的生活方式。
二、學情分析
本課教學對象是中職學生,學生英語基礎知識相對薄弱。因此,在教學過程中,要注重學習策略的指導;在教學內容的設置上先易后難,營造輕松的學習氛圍,注重激發(fā)學生的學習興趣,鼓勵學生積極參與課堂活動,幫助學生樹立英語學習自信心。
三、教學目標
1.知識目標:學生能掌握和運用表達健身、健康生活習慣的詞匯和短語,如:slim、skip、stay up、put on weight、get rid of等; 學生能根據課文,了解健身俱樂部會員表格填寫的基本格式。
2.能力目標:提高閱讀能力和查找整理相關信息的能力;學生能簡單描述有關健身、健康生活習慣的情況。
3.情感態(tài)度與價值觀:培養(yǎng)學生健康的生活習慣;培養(yǎng)學生積極參加體育鍛煉的好習慣。

任務教學法、小組合作探究法、合作學習。
五、教學重點與難點
1.重點:學會使用slim 等詞匯和短語;理解Sara和Allen的健康故事。
2.難點:通過閱讀培養(yǎng)學生整合信息的能力;把本課所掌握知識點運用到實際中去。
六、教學過程
Step1 warming-up
1. Lets enjoy a short movie.
2. What do you think about the short movie?Why are they taking exercise?(Keep healthy?。〥o you want to keep healthy ?(Healthy) So,today we will learn Reading of Unit 5.(板書:Reading Health stories)
Step2 Pre - reading 1. Think about that what the stories will talk about?
2. Look at the two pictures.Who are they?Well read their Health Stories.
