Watch a video

（1）T：Sydney is beautiful. It is in Australia. And which animal is from Australia?

Ss：Kangaroo

T：Look! A stamp of kangaroo.

【設(shè)計意圖】感受澳大利亞的美和人文，引出標志性動物袋鼠，由袋鼠巧妙一變，成了一張袋鼠郵票，為下面埋下伏筆。

（2）T：Wow！A postcard. Who is in Sydney?

Task1：Listen and answer

T：Whose dad?

S：Johns dad.

——So the postcard is from dad to John.

T：And where is John?

S：He is in Beijing.

——So the postcard is from Sydney to Beijing.

【設(shè)計意圖】任務(wù)1：聽音回答問題，初步感知文本內(nèi)容，厘清文本主線，滲透聽音技巧。

（3）Task2：Read，underline and answer

Q1：Whats the weather like in Sydney?

A1：Its hot and sunny here.

Q2：Is the water cold in Sydney?

A2：No，it isnt. The water is warm.

Q3：Can Johns dad swim outside?

【設(shè)計意圖】任務(wù)2：閱讀并回答問題，培養(yǎng)閱讀思維并在解決問題過程中學(xué)習(xí)相關(guān)句型。

（4）Task3：Read it better

①Listen to the tape.

【設(shè)計意圖】任務(wù)3：引導(dǎo)學(xué)生關(guān)注語音、語調(diào)；聽音、模仿、小組讀、自由讀等進行朗讀訓(xùn)練。

（1）Now Mike is talking with John on Wechat. What are they talking about?

（Write the sentence：Is it sunny?/Yes，it is./ No，it isnt.）

【設(shè)計意圖】創(chuàng)設(shè)John和Mike微信界面聊天情境，在聊天界面教授學(xué)生書寫重點句型，幾個相似句子進行比較和選擇，規(guī)避學(xué)生在書寫中可能會犯下的錯誤。

（2）J：Mum，can I write to dad?

M：Yes，you can.

J：What should I say?

【設(shè)計意圖】創(chuàng)設(shè)John與媽媽面對面聊天的情境，引出John想回明信片，但不知道該怎么寫明信片，該寫些什么內(nèi)容，從而再次讀一讀明信片上的文本，了解明信片的格式和寫法。

B.了解明信片的格式

【設(shè)計意圖】在明信片的文本上畫出句子并概括寫的內(nèi)容，可以有這樣的5個方面，讓學(xué)生知道寫明信片可以往哪些方面寫。

4）Try to write
