The Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve4 is located in Southwest China， Sichuan Province. The reserve takes its name from the small Tangjia River， which goes through the reserve and flows into the Yangtze， the longest river in China. It was wasteland years ago. The logging5 and poaching6 broke Tangjiahes ecosystem7. The animals just ran way.

唐家河國家級(jí)自然保護(hù)區(qū)位于中國西南部的四川省。該保護(hù)區(qū)的名稱來自小唐家河，這條河穿過保護(hù)區(qū)，流入中國最長的河流長江。此地多年前是荒原，伐木和偷獵破壞了唐家河的生態(tài)系統(tǒng)，動(dòng)物都逃離了這兒。

The reserve was finished in 1978. In 1983， an observation8 station was built for giant pandas， making it the second largest one at that time. In 1985， hundreds of villagers from the heartland moved and made space for rare9 plants and animals， such as pandas. Then many animals under state protection10 returned to Tangjiahe.

該保護(hù)區(qū)于1978年完工。1983年，建造了一個(gè)大熊貓觀測站，成為當(dāng)時(shí)的第二大觀測站。1985年，中心地帶的數(shù)百名村民搬家，為熊貓等稀有動(dòng)植物騰出空間。之后許多受國家保護(hù)的動(dòng)物返回了唐家河。

In 2014， a wild otter11 showed up there， which is under second-class state protection. It was the first time that a wild otter was caught by camera in the country since 2000. Seven natural science museums were built there. About 5，000 students from middle and primary schools visited Tangjiahe last year.

2014年，一只野生水獺在唐家河出現(xiàn)了，這是國家二級(jí)保護(hù)動(dòng)物。自2000年以來，這是我國第一次在野外用相機(jī)拍到水獺。唐家河建成了七個(gè)自然科學(xué)博物館。去年，大約有5000名中小學(xué)學(xué)生游覽了唐家河。

Local government has spent large amount of money helping people to develop their business. In Yinping village， a few kilometers from the reserve， more than 100 family hotels have showed up. Deng Xiaofeng opened the villages first family hotel 14 years ago. She has 32 guestrooms after expanding12. Last year， her business brought in over 200，000 yuan. She says， “The environment is getting better. And our lives are getting better.”

當(dāng)?shù)卣鸦ㄙM(fèi)大量資金來幫助人們發(fā)展業(yè)務(wù)。在距離保護(hù)區(qū)幾公里的銀屏（音）村，有100多家家庭旅館。鄧小鳳（音）在14年前開設(shè)了該村的第一家家庭旅館。擴(kuò)建后，她有32間客房。去年，她的生意收入超過20萬元。她說：“環(huán)境越來越好，我們的生活也越來越好。”
