A Girls Wish
On the way home after watching a ballet performance, the kindergarten teacher asked her students what they thought of it. The smallest girl in the class said she wished the dancers were taller so that they would not have to stand on their toes all the time.

A Thank-you Note
Once I received a thank-you note from a friend whom I had helped. In the envelope were five lottery tickets that had been scratched, revealing the numbers. “Thank you very much for your help,” the note read. “As a gift, I bought you some lottery tickets, but its sorry you didnt win.”
一封感謝信

Im Glad
A teacher was telling her pupils the importance of making others glad. “Now, children”, she said, “Has anyone of you ever made someone else glad?”
“Please, teacher”, said a small boy, “Ive made someone glad yesterday.”
“Well done. Who was that?”
“My granny.”
“Good boy. Now tell us how you made your grandmother glad.”
“Please, teacher, I went to see her yesterday, and stayed with her three hours. Then I said to her, ‘Granny, Im going home, and she said, ‘Well, Im glad!”

“是這樣的,老師。我昨天去看她,在她那兒呆了三個小時。然后我跟她說:‘奶奶,我要回家了。她說:‘啊,我很高興!”
My Sisters Fingers
Teacher: Kevin, why are you late this time?
Kevin: Please sir, I bruised two fingers knocking in a nail at home.
Teacher: I dont see any bandages.
Kevin: Oh, they werent my fingers!I told my little sister to hold the nail.

凱文:對不起,老師,我在家釘釘子,砸壞了兩個手指頭。
老師:怎么沒有扎繃帶呀?
凱文:噢,砸的不是我的手指頭,我叫我的小妹妹扶著釘子的。
