      Using Marxist Tragedy View to Analyze Drama Works

      【Abstract】The legend of "Leifeng Tower" by Fang Chengpei,a famous dramatist in the Qing Dynasty,is a mythical love tragedy. The play uses the various acts of Fahai and others including the Tathagata gods to obstruct and destroy the White Lady,and the combination of Xu Xuan,Deeply exposed and criticized the restraint of feudal ethics on women's pursuit of beautiful and pure love,This reflects the theme of anti-feudal evil forces and extols the spirit of resistance and struggle of the oppressed.The legend occupies an important position in the history of world drama,and has become one of the top ten tragedies of Chinese classics.This article will use the Marxist view of tragedy to dig out the source of the tragedy from the hero of the tragedy,Bai Niangzi.

      "Leifeng Tower" by Fang Chengpei of the Qing Dynasty is a drama about "White Snake".To this day,"Leifeng Tower" still has a high value in both the plot and the characterization.Fang Chengpei,the author of "Leifeng Tower",can be said to be an important writer in the history of Chinese drama literature.

      From the analysis of the content of "Leifeng Tower",the legend of Fang Chengpeis "Leifeng Tower" inherited the story mode of the love story between humans and monsters.Infiltrate more elements of rational thinking,At the same time,it writes the complexity and profoundness of the tragedy of the White Snake,which breaks through the framework of the love between humans and monsters,has deep spiritual connotations,and demonstrates profound social contradictions.

      1.Understanding of Marxist Tragic View Theory

      Hegel's theory of tragedy is this:First,he believes that "anything that is realistic is reasonable,and everything that is reasonable is realistic";Second,he believes that the development of world history is an ascent from a low-level social form to a high-level social form. From the perspective of development and change,the reality with the inevitability and rationality of existence will inevitably lose its rationality and become unreasonable.The emphasis of Marxist philosophy on tragedy is to emphasize the unity of tragedy and history.Therefore,the nature of tragedy is revealed in the multiple internal constructive relations between the tragedy of Marxism and politics,economy,and history.Marx believes that there are two types of tragedies. The first one is because it violates the inevitable process of historical development,makes mistakes or someone is destined to face the end of the tragedy,but he does not realize it,but insists on his own opinions. This is a tragedy;the second is tragedy. The tragedy is because the "old forces" are too powerful,and things that are full of vitality and represent progress cannot fully realize themselves. This is also a tragedy.

      2.The Tragic Life of the White Lady

      The white lady's struggle finally ended in tragedy. She was suppressed under the Leifeng Tower and could never stand up. All the conflicts between White Lady and Fahai,the government,and Xu Xuan are all for the pursuit of her own love and happiness. Therefore,the white lady's love for Xu Xuan and the fierce resistance and huge sacrifices made for this are more obvious modern love colors in this sense. White Lady's kindness,loyalty to love,and resistance and struggle from beginning to end all show the tremendous power of human nature. Therefore,it also shows the most true and instinctive side in dealing with love.

      3.Marxist view of tragedy analyzes the tragic life of the white lady

      In "Leifeng Tower",the white lady boldly challenged the feudal ethics,and the pursuit of free and happy love is bound to be unacceptable to defenders who represent the evil forces of feudalism.In the seventh [Tante Order] straightforward,"If you dont give up,let me pity each other,I would like to send the same heart."       4.Conclusion

      As an art that reflects the concept of tragedy,reflecting social conflict is the essential feature of drama art,and it is most prominent and concentrated.In "Leifeng Tower",the more intense her resistance,the more incomparable her image meaning is. The weaker her power,the more intense her voice,the more influential and aesthetic effect her tragic meaning is. The spirit of the weak who dare to challenge the powerful is even more valuable. In short,the drama "Leifeng Tower" reflects the yearning of ordinary working people for a happy life by shaping the tragic character of the White Lady. Even if two people are truly in love,they will eventually be destroyed by the ruling class that represents power.
