When David Carter started to study art at the University of Texas (UT) at Austin in 1971, hehad big dreams of becoming an artist or a writer. But his study came to a stop at 23 after he hurthis hand in an unpleasant event. He developed scbizophrenia (精神分裂癥) later and spentmany years without a home.
