Technology has started to take over the world. It may seem like a huge advancement to society， but with large advancements come equally large setbacks. Here are a few advantages and disadvantages of technology in todays world.

We now live in an era of social media. With social media， we have never been as connected as we are now. Everyone around us can be reached instantly with a single click. Besides， we can find an answer to almost anything on the Internet and the information comes almost instantly. Whats more， the use of technology has made all of our lives incredibly efficient. Machines now build products at faster speed. While were living in a fast pace world， fast paced technology is a must. Furthermore， a majority of people have access to technology， which helps them express themselves on many different platforms to spread their thoughts and beliefs. Lastly， technology has given people many ways to entertain themselves. Various websites offer hours upon hours of entertainment for those boring nights.

While some may see social medias positive effects on relationships， others can see it as the exact opposite. Although social media helps us stay connected， it keeps people from seeing each other face?to?face. No matter how convenient social media is， it will never take over the need for social interaction in real life. Meanwhile， there is nothing more frustrating than having technology not work right when it needs to. Moreover， people have become so dependent on technology that they dont try to explore life outside of a smart device. Also， with more and more people posting information on the Internet， it can be very difficult for people to determine whether the information is credible or not. This can lead to false information being taken seriously， and changing perspectives of those who believe it.

To understand technology， one must know what it provides in terms of advantages and disadvantages.
