In honor of the Great Workers Strike in Chicago， the Socialist Congress unanimously agreed to make May 1st a common holiday for the international proletariat on July 14， 1889. This is the origin of International Workers' Day. In my opinion， International Workers' Day is actually for those who do not usually work to work. But in Grandma's mind， 365 days throughout a year are International Work-ers' Day. That is， every day is her “Labor Day”. Grandma once said， “If I don't work for a day， I will feel sick.”

Grandma is an expert in farming. The rice we eat in our family is planted by grandpar-ents. Even during the Spring Festival， Grandma goes to the neighboring village to help cut down the sugarcane. What impresses me most is when I went to fertilize the field with Grandma last year. Our family contracted to grow eucalyptus （桉樹） on a hill. And it was time for us to fertilize trees there. I struggled to carry the fertilizer weighing over 25 kg while Grandma put it on her shoulder with ease and walked swiftly. We had to carry the fertilizer up the steep hillside， dig holes under trees， and fill the holes with fertilizer. I was out of breath after spreading the fer-tilizer and turned around， only to find Grandma， who was then 68 years old， working non?stop.
