2024年11月16日上午， 紀(jì)念孔子學(xué)院成立20周年主題研討會在國家會議中心隆重舉行。研討會主題是“孔子學(xué)院的傳承與發(fā)展——20歲，孔子學(xué)院正青春”。教育部副部長吳巖出席活動并發(fā)表主旨講話。中國國際中文教育基金會理事長、中國科學(xué)院院士楊衛(wèi)，孔子學(xué)院中外合作機(jī)構(gòu)代表、孔子學(xué)院中外方院長、企業(yè)代表、媒體代表、中外來賓一千多人出席研討會。

On the morning of November 16， 2024，the thematic seminar commemorating the 20thanniversary of the Confucius Institute was held in agrand ceremony at the China National ConventionCenter. The seminar was themed “Inheritance andDevelopment of the Confucius Institute — At 20， theConfucius Institute is in Its Prime.” Vice Minister ofEducation Wu Yan attended the event and delivereda keynote address. The seminar welcomed over athousand participants， including Yang Wei， Presidentof the Chinese International Education Foundation（CIEF） and a member of the Chinese Academy ofSciences （CAS）; representatives of Chinese and LocalHosts of Confucius Institutes; Chinese and LocalDirectors of Confucius Institutes; corporate leaders;media professionals; and other distinguished guestsfrom around the world.

吳巖副部長表示，習(xí)近平主席的重要賀信是對孔子學(xué)院的巨大激勵鼓舞，充分彰顯了對孔子學(xué)院師生的關(guān)心關(guān)愛。吳巖指出，孔子學(xué)院20年不平凡歷程和取得的卓越成績，離不開中外政府的關(guān)心支持，離不開社會各界的積極參與，離不開所有孔院人的辛勤付出，充分體現(xiàn)了合作精神、奉獻(xiàn)精神、創(chuàng)新精神和仁愛精神，彌足珍貴，值得永遠(yuǎn)傳承。對于孔子學(xué)院未來發(fā)展，吳巖希望各方加強(qiáng)協(xié)作，致力于建設(shè)更有質(zhì)量、更有特色、更有活力、更多伙伴、更有溫度的孔子學(xué)院，為滿足各國民眾學(xué)習(xí)中文、了解中國的需求，為推動人類文明交流互鑒，為共筑人類美好未來，貢獻(xiàn)更多智慧和力量。

In h is spe e ch， Vice Mi n i s ter Wu Yanunderscored the significance of President Xi Jinping’scongratulatory letter， calling it a profound source ofinspiration and encouragement for the ConfuciusInstitute. He highlighted the care and support itreflects for teachers and students involved in theprogram. Wu Yan acknowledged that the remarkable20-year journey of the Confucius Institute andits achievements would not have been possiblewithout the unwavering support of governments inChina and host countries， the active involvementof various sectors of society， and the dedication ofthose who have contributed to the institute’s success.Wu Yan praised the Confucius Institute’s invaluablespirit of collaboration， dedication， innovation， andcompassion， describing it as a legacy that must becherished and carried forward. Looking to the future，he expressed hope for deeper cooperation amongstakeholders to enhance the quality， distinctiveness，dynamism， inclusiveness， and warmth of ConfuciusInstitutes. He envisioned them playing an evengreater role in meeting the global demand forlearning Chinese and understanding China， fosteringintercultural exchanges， and contributing wisdomand strength to a brighter future for humanity.

楊衛(wèi)理事長在歡迎辭中指出，孔子學(xué)院在過去的20年里，以開放包容的態(tài)度，與社會各界一同積極應(yīng)對人類面臨的各項(xiàng)挑戰(zhàn)，努力回應(yīng)所在大學(xué)、所在社區(qū)、所在國家的需要，主動融入時(shí)代，因地制宜，與時(shí)俱進(jìn)。展望未來，孔子學(xué)院將會以更加開放的姿態(tài)、更加創(chuàng)新的思維、更加務(wù)實(shí)的行動，為促進(jìn)世界多元文明交流互鑒作出新的貢獻(xiàn)。

In his welcome speech， CIEF President YangWei emphasized that over the past two decades，Confucius Institutes have adopted an open andinclusive approach， working with all sectors of societyto address global challenges. They have workeddiligently to meet the needs of the universities，communities and countries they serve， adapting tolocal contexts and adopting innovative strategies toremain relevant. Yang Wei expressed the ConfuciusInstitutes’ commitment to promoting openness，fostering creative thinking， and taking pragmaticactions to enhance global cultural exchangesand mutual learning among the world’s diversecivilizations.

來自非洲、美洲、亞洲、歐洲、大洋洲的政府教育機(jī)構(gòu)及孔子學(xué)院中外合作機(jī)構(gòu)負(fù)責(zé)人，孔子學(xué)院院長等代表分享了孔子學(xué)院建設(shè)的經(jīng)驗(yàn)和心得，就發(fā)揮孔子學(xué)院合作機(jī)構(gòu)的主體責(zé)任建言獻(xiàn)策。

Representatives from government educationalinstitutions， leaders of Chinese and Local Hosts ofConfucius Institutes， and Directors of ConfuciusInstitutes in Africa， the Americas， Asia， Europe，and Oceania shared their experiences and insightson building and managing their Institutes. Theyalso offered valuable suggestions on how hostorganizations can take more responsibility insupporting the development of the institutes.

研討會上，中國國際中文教育基金會向馬來西亞、西班牙、俄羅斯和美國四所新建孔子學(xué)院和孔子課堂頒發(fā)了銘牌，舉行了“孔子學(xué)院APP”上線發(fā)布儀式，以及向41位國際友人頒發(fā)了“孔院之光”孔子學(xué)院20周年特別致謝牌。

During the seminar， CIEF recognized theestablishment of four new Confucius Institutes andConfucius Classrooms in Malaysia， Spain， Russia， andthe United States by presenting them official plaques.CIEF also marked the official launch of the ConfuciusInstitute APP and celebrated the 20th anniversary byawarding “Brilliance of CI” appreciation plaques to41 international experts who have made outstandingcontributions.

16日下午，中國國際中文教育基金會還舉辦了兩場活動，分別是“社會支持與伙伴協(xié)作：打造孔子學(xué)院共贏生態(tài)”圓桌交流會和“孔子學(xué)院工作勝任力培養(yǎng)和提升”專題研討會。

In the afternoon， CIEF hosted two specialsessions： a roundtable dialogue on Social Supportand Partnership Collaboration： Building a Win-WinEcosystem for Confucius Institutes and a seminaron the Cultivation and Enhancement of WorkCompetence in Confucius Institutes.
