      We all know the book Journey to the West, but do you know why the four masters go on a journey to the west?

      Journey to the West is one of the four most famous novels in China.It’s a mythological novel with abundant materials and brilliant ideas.

      Sun Wukong, or Monkey King in this book left a deep impression on me: He was a monkey who learned to be very good at magic and fighting. He was given a job in heaven guarding a peach garden, but he was very naughty and trapped under the Five Elements Mountain by the Buddha with his magic because of the chaos, which foreshadows the development of the central story.

      Buddha sent a monk, Xuanzang, to India to get some books to teach people how to live better lives. Guanyin found Monkey King and freed him so that he could go along on the journey to India and protect Xuanzang.

      Then, Xuanzang and Monkey King met Zhu Bajie, or Pigsy, who also used to have a good job in heaven, but behaved badly and was changed into a pig-man. Pigsy was very greedy(貪吃的) and lazy but agreed to come along with them.

      Next, they met a water monster called Sha Wujing, or Sandy. Monkey King and Pigsy fought Sandy. After a long fight they discovered Sandy was from heaven, too. Sandy joined them. Unlike Monkey King and Pigsy, Sandy was quiet and reliable(可信賴的).

      Along the way, the travellers met powerful and dangerous demons(妖怪) who wanted to eat Xuanzang because they thought it would make them live forever. Many of the demons could change themselves to look nice and friendly, so they often tricked Xuanzang into going with them. However, Monkey King, Sandy and Pigsy always rescued Xuanzang.

      Many years later, the four reached India and got the special books, which they took back to China.

      I think every character in the book is worth learning from. Monkey King is very strong, honest and brave, and very loyal to his master. Xuanzang’s perseverance and determination would always give me strength. Although Pigsy is a little lazy, he is very honest, and I want to be honest and trustworthy just like him. Sandy is hard-working, he never complains, I want to learn from him the willing to bear hardships.

      A good book can affect people’s life, Journey to the West is such a book!

      Journey to Detian Falls

      On the border between China and Vietnam, there is a magnificent view called Detian Waterfall. It is the largest transnational waterfall in Asia, and attracts thousands of tourists every year. On a sunny day, I started an unforgettable journey to enjoy it.

      On my way there, I could feel the cool breeze mingled with the rushing water. As we approached, the roar of water grew louder and louder, just like thunder. When I finally reached the observation deck, I was shocked. A stunning curtain of water flowed down a series of cliffs, spanned 200 meters across and dropped 60 meters in height. The force of the water impacting the river below was so powerful and amazing!

      I learned the power of nature by this journey to Detian Waterfall. This journey not only made me feel proud of these nature wonders, but also reminded me of the importance of protecting such nature treasures.

      This journey to Detian Waterfall gave me a direct experience of the power of nature, which not only made me proud of these nature wonders, but also reminded me of the importance of protecting such nature treasures.
