普羅旺斯：薰衣草之城

French poet Romain Rolland said,“The French are romantic because they have Provence.”Provence is located in the south of France.The sky there is very clear and the air is fresh.And when we talk about Provence, we will think of lavenders.

法國(guó)詩(shī)人羅曼·羅蘭說(shuō)過(guò)：“法國(guó)人之所以浪漫，是因?yàn)橛衅樟_旺斯?！逼樟_旺斯位于法國(guó)南部。那里的天空通透明澈，空氣清新。說(shuō)到普羅旺斯，人們自然而然地就會(huì)想到薰衣草。

It was said that a beautiful shepherdess (牧羊女)met a handsome youngman and fell in love with him.They dated every day.But one day the youngman asked the shepherdess to go away with him.She came back home and told her parents about it.Her parents were doubtful(懷疑的).They gave their daughter a bunch of lavenders.When the shepherdess saw the youngman,she threw the lavenders towards the young man. The lavenders became purple smog(煙霧)at once. The young man showed what he really was—the evil.From then on,lavenders were considered as amagical sacred(神圣的)herb.

傳說(shuō)，美麗的牧羊女邂逅了英俊少年，墜入愛(ài)河。他們天天約會(huì)，突然有一天少年提出帶她遠(yuǎn)走高飛。牧羊女回到家把這事告訴了父母，父母心生疑問(wèn)，于是交給她一束紫色的薰衣草。當(dāng)牧羊女見(jiàn)到少年時(shí)，她把薰衣草拋在少年身上，薰衣草立刻化為紫色的煙霧，少年現(xiàn)出魔鬼原形逃走了。由此，薰衣草就被認(rèn)為是具有魔力的一種神圣藥草。

Impressions on Provence普羅旺斯印象

1.Beach海灘

Surrounding(環(huán)繞)the Mediterranean(地中海),the Provence Coast is called Riviera.It has been the most fashionable place for the royalty and nobleman to spend their holidays from 18thcentury.When the north was covered by thick ice,they came to the south and enjoyed the warm sun,air and showy(浮華的) life.

環(huán)繞著地中海的普羅旺斯海岸被稱為里維耶拉。從18世紀(jì)開(kāi)始，這里就是皇親貴族、富賈名流最時(shí)髦的度假圣地。當(dāng)北方被厚重的冰雪覆蓋時(shí)，他們就來(lái)到法國(guó)南部的普羅旺斯，聚集在海灘邊享受溫暖的陽(yáng)光、空氣與浮華的生活。

2.Flowers花海

Lavenders and sunflowers are the most famous flowers that decorating(裝飾)the mountain area of Provence.The qualities of the lavenders in Provence are the best in the world.But it is not easy to get close to the lavenders,because most of them are in the distant mountain areas.When the lavenders are blooming in July,the odor(氣味)is very sweet.The sunflowers are also in bloom everywhere.These bright colors are themarks of Provence.

妝點(diǎn)普羅旺斯山區(qū)的花卉以薰衣草與向日葵最著名。普羅旺斯的薰衣草品質(zhì)堪稱世界之冠。不過(guò)紫色的花海不容易接觸到，因?yàn)槎鄶?shù)分布在僻遠(yuǎn)的山區(qū)。7月花朵盛開(kāi)期間，花香襲人，向日葵也滿山遍野地綻放。這些艷麗的色澤，是普羅旺斯的標(biāo)記。

3.Delicious food美食

The greatest feature of the food in Provence is using plenty of seafood,vegetables and fruit of the season,olive oil,spice(香料) and garlic.With the fresh,plain and healthy

features, Provence food is unique among French food.All of thesementioned above and the sunshine in Provencemake Provence the heaven of food.

普羅旺斯料理最大的特色就是大量使用海鮮、時(shí)鮮蔬果、橄欖油、香料與大蒜，以新鮮、清淡、健康等特色在法國(guó)美食中獨(dú)樹(shù)一幟。最后再加上普羅旺斯陽(yáng)光的照拂這項(xiàng)特色，使得普羅旺斯成了美食天堂。

4.Ceremony慶典

There are toomany activities for the eyes to see.It is especially lively in summer.There are many musical activities all around,such as the Jazz Festival in Antibes,music performance in Cannes and firework party on the sea.

這個(gè)地區(qū)的活動(dòng)之多，到了令人目不暇接的地步。在普羅旺斯，夏日尤其熱鬧，四處都有音樂(lè)活動(dòng)，如安提布的爵士音樂(lè)節(jié)、坎城的音樂(lè)表演、海上的煙火晚會(huì)。

5.Old buildings古建筑

There aremany vestiges(遺跡)in coastal area,including complete ancient cities,arenas (競(jìng)技場(chǎng)),round arches(拱門),fountains and so on.Made of local marbles(大理石),the Medieval(中世紀(jì)的)monasteries(修道院) have a unique beauty.

海岸地區(qū)留下了許多獨(dú)特風(fēng)格的遺跡，包括完整的古城池、競(jìng)技場(chǎng)、圓拱門、噴泉等。中世紀(jì)的修道院以當(dāng)?shù)卮罄硎龀桑幸环N獨(dú)特之美。
