SOME漢譯初探

Some是英語單詞中最常用的詞匯之一，它兼有形容詞、副詞和代詞的詞性。其句法功能為：常在句中作定語、主語或賓語，由于some這個詞的用法比較復雜，所以，漢譯時要根據(jù)具體情況靈活處理，不一而足。現(xiàn)將some的一些漢譯法試述如下：

1.some與可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)連用，表示因情況不明的某人某物，或說話人不愿具體說出的人或事物時，常譯作：“某一”、“某個”等。例如：

He went tosome place in the south.

他到南方某地去了。

There is some girl at the soor who wants to see you.

門口有個姑娘想見你。

I have read it in some book.

我在某本書里讀到過它。

2.some與可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)連用，用于肯定句中，表示不定的數(shù)目。用于否定句中，表示部分否定。用于疑問句中而又期望得到肯定的回答，或用于條件句時，常譯作：“一些”、“某些”、“有些”等。例如：

I have some English books.

我有一些英語書。

I don’t knowsome people in the room.

屋子里有些人我不認識。

Will you buysome books?

你要買書嗎？

If you want anybooks,I shall lend you some.

你若要書的話，我就送你幾本。

3.some與不可數(shù)名詞連用。表示若干部分時，常譯作：“一點兒”“少許”等。例如：

Give me some money,please?

給我點兒錢，好嗎？

You have tolearn some English.

你得學點英語。

4.some作為代詞，常譯作“一些人（物）”“有些人（物）”“一些”。例如：

Some of the students were early and some of themwere late.

有些學生早到了，有些則來晚了。

Some answered “Yes”and some answered“No”.

有些人回答“是”，有些人回答“不是”。

Some of it is good.

其中一些是好的。

Some of the books are veryuseful.

這些書當中有些是很有用的。

5.作為副詞，some與數(shù)詞連用時，表示概數(shù)，常譯作：“大約”“左右”等。例如：

There were some 40 or 50 people there.

大約有四、五十人在那里。

It is some 30 tons in wight.

重30噸左右。

We waited some 20 minutes.

我們等了20分鐘左右。

6.在美國英語的口語和英國英語的俚語中，some 常譯作“稍微”“很”“非常好”“了不起”等。例如：

I amfeelingsome better today.

我今天覺得稍好些。

That is goingsome.

那很不錯。

This is some book.

這是一本很好的書。

Her father is some scientist.

他父親是一位了不起的科學家。

7.帶有“some”的一些常用詞組的譯法：

（1）and then some 常譯作：“至少”、“更多一些”等。例如：

It would cost all the money he had and then some.

那將至少需要他拿出全部勇氣。

（2）some day 譯作：“改天”“他日”“總有一天”等。例如：

Some dayI shall gothere.

改天我將去那里。

（3）some dayor other譯作：“遲早”。例如：

XiaoWangwill come some dayor other.

小王遲早會來這兒的。

（4）some of these days 譯作：“不久”“有一天”。例如：

I am going to do that driving some of these days.

不久我就會開車了。

（5）some more譯作：“再來一些”。例如：

Give us some more examples,please.

請再給我們舉些例子。

Would you like some more tea?

再來點茶好嗎？

（6）some…orother譯作：“某一”“某些”。例如：

I must have seen himin some where or other.

我準是在某個地方見過他。

He is stayingwith some or other in the country.他目前正與某些朋友住在鄉(xiāng)下。

（7）some one or other譯作：“某人”“有某個人”。例如：

Some one or other said so.

有某個人這樣說過。

（8）some…and other譯作：“有的…有的…”“有些…有些…”。例如：

Some studyEnglish and others studyRussian.有的人學英語，有的人學俄語。

（9）in some way or other譯作：“想辦法”“設法”。例如：

You would doit in some wayor other.

你應當設法去做。

（10）some time 譯作：“一會兒”“一些時間”。例如：

I was there for some time.

他已等了一會兒了。

（11）some kind of譯作：“某種”。例如：

It looks like some kind of plant.

他看上去像某種植物。

（12）some few(little)譯作“少許”“幾個”“一點”等。例如：

Some fewof themknowEnglish.

他們中有少數(shù)人懂英語。

He has some fewEnglish books.

他有幾本英語書。

There is some little water in the bottle.

瓶子里還有點水。

8.some與某些詞構成的常用復合詞：

Somebody(=someone)有人

Somehow(=someway)不知怎么地、以某種方法

Someplace(=somewhere)某處

Sometime(=somewhen)某時以前

Sometimes有時、不時

Someday改日、有朝一日

Something某事、某物

Somewhat有點、略微
