“Who is this kid Cumberbatch?”You won’t hear that question in the United Kingdom,where the brilliant quirkymisanthrope(離群索居者)“Sherlock”is afull-tilt(猛烈地；全力地)prime-time(黃金時(shí)段)sensation(轟動(dòng)).

“康伯巴奇是哪個(gè)小子？”在聰明絕頂而又古怪的離群索居者“夏洛克”擠爆黃金時(shí)段的英國，你絕對(duì)不會(huì)聽到這個(gè)問題。

The showsherlock,created by“Doctor Who”Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss(and,of course,the original author,Arthur Conan Doyle),costars(合演；聯(lián)袂主演明星)Martin Freeman as Dr.John Watson,an army doctor who was injured inAfghanistan(阿富汗)and finds himself as the only true friend to the strange “consulting detective(私家偵探)”.The show is playful(there’s much humor)but it’s not as proudlydaft(古里古怪的)as“Doctor Who”,Holmes also doesn’t spend as much time smiling at people.

《神探夏洛克》這部劇集由有“神秘博士”之稱的Steven Moffat和Mark Gatiss創(chuàng)作（當(dāng)然，還有原著作者柯南道爾），華生由馬丁·弗里曼飾演，這個(gè)角色是在阿富汗戰(zhàn)場負(fù)過傷的軍醫(yī)，后來意識(shí)到他自己是那個(gè)古怪“私家偵探”唯一的真心朋友。該劇喜感很強(qiáng)（里頭有不少小幽默），雖然不像“神秘博士”那樣自負(fù)又古怪，這一版的福爾摩斯依然吝嗇他的笑容。

“He’s acomplex(復(fù)雜的)and morevulnerable(易受傷的)character who is easier to relate to and care about.But it’s a slow process.He’s still smart,violent,physically capable and dangerous.”

“他是個(gè)具有多面性且易受傷害的人，卻也很容易接近和關(guān)心。但這是個(gè)緩慢的過程。他仍是那個(gè)聰敏、熱烈、精力充沛又有些危險(xiǎn)性的家伙。”

But how long will this Sherlock stay at the scene of the crime?More and more,the actor is hearing the call of larger screens and a wider world.

但“夏洛克”會(huì)一直呆在犯罪現(xiàn)場嗎？這位演員已經(jīng)越來越多地受到來自大屏幕和更廣闊世界的召喚。

There was,for instance,the call Cumberbatch received from Steven Spielberg,who had seen the actor’s television work and wanted him for “War Horse”.Cumberbatch also got strong reviews for his work in“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”.

Moffatt says that Cumberbatch,whose mother and father put together long careers in television and on stage,was already one of the most admired actors of his generation and within the industry.Moffat said,“We were the lucky ones who gave him thebreakthrough(突破)part.The challenge of Sherlock Holmes is to play ashow-off(愛炫耀的人),self-obsessed(自戀)person and yet still be loved,and actually very few people havepulled it off(勝利完成).I may be prejudiced,but I don’t think anyone has pulled it off as well as Benedict.”

編劇Moffatt說，康伯巴奇的父親和母親都有著電視和舞臺(tái)表演的漫長生涯，而他很早就是同代人和圈子里最著名的演員之一。Moffat說，“我們只是有幸成為給予他事業(yè)上具有突破意義那部分的人。演好夏洛克·福爾摩斯這個(gè)角色的難度就在于，這是個(gè)自戀愛炫耀的自大狂，但又非?？蓯?。確實(shí)，很少有人能做得到。我可能有偏見，但我認(rèn)為基本沒人能和康伯巴奇一樣將其演繹得完美”。

Looking ahead,Cumberbatch said his goal is to not limited to thetypecasting(重復(fù)演同一類型的角色;演員定型)and repeating himself and keep a balance in his own life.
