Research on Conception of Community of Destiny
Xu Jin,Guo Chu
Abstract:The Community of Destiny is one of the core diplomatic concepts particularly emphasized by President Xi Jinping as general secretary of the central leadership of CPC. Chinese officials and scholars have already put forward an array of different approaches of the"community of destiny".As to practical research, promotion strategy, essential content and terminological accuracy, there still remains more work. The paper argues that the"community of destiny"refers to political cooperation and security support in both bilateral and multilateral arrangement, and features three characteristics: cooperation between destiny community members is closer;between member countries of the community they should provide security support or safety protection to each other;and their conflicts should be solved peacefully. For China, the construction of destiny community is a long-term mission, and it demands that more attention should be paid to diplomatic maneuverability and careful inclusion of countries.Accordingly, the probability of its construction should be concerned with bilateral fate community to peripheral fate community to continental community to the community of humankind.

Wang Luyao
Abstract:The negotiators of TPP signed the agreement in October,2015,and the 12 member countries have promised to conduct comprehensive cooperation in trade and investment liberalization and their facilitation,in order to achieve a high-standard regional trade arrangement in the 21st century. At present, the TPP is facing challenges such as opposition from the two major political parties in the United States, and partial implementation by other member countries. The short-term perspective for TPP is vague.Pragmatic functioning of TPP not only relates to the current global highest-standard FTA entrance into the Asia-Pacific regional economic governance system, but also relates to the UnitedStates'actual efforts to consolidate global and regional economic leadership. The article analyzes the debatable issues of TPP and the trends in terms of its effect-taking and enlargement, discusses its influence on Asia-Pacific regional economic governance, and puts forward China's countermeasures.

Analysis of America Factor of Vietnam Joining the TPP
Li Jiacheng,Jiang Xintong
Abstract:TPP negotiation, completed in 2015,was a landmark event for FTA.Vietnam was very conspicuous in TPP due to its special positioning compared with other member countries. The cooperation between America and Vietnam in TPP negotiation was based on the substantial progress of U.S.-Vietnam relations from the end of the Cold War.Support of America was an important factor in the process of Vietnam becoming a member country of TPP.The main reasons for America securing Vietnam's membership in TPP are as follows:balancing out China's rise and shaping a favorable regional power structure, setting up an example for other Asian countries and laying the foundation for the expansion of TPP, and drawing Vietnam to America as well as guaranteeing close U.S.-Vietnam relations in the future. Therefore,it is strategically important for China to be prudent about the on-going power game, and make every effort to be more influential in the region by devising and practicing countermeasures.

Syria Crisis:Russia's Goal,Strategy and Consequence
Han Kedi
Abstract:Russia's direct intervention in Syria has tactically achieved to some extent, but completely failed in its strategy.Russia not only did not reach themain goal to improve its relations with the Western countries led by America, but expanded contradictory differences with Turkey,Saudi Arabia and other regional powers, and worsened its southern geopolitical environment.Oil prices remain in the doldrums and Russia's national image has not been improved.Russia is still in passivity in the Middle East and the world. The main reasons for the failure of Russia's Syrian strategy lie in its fragile economy and exclusively personal decision-making mechanism.

Re-evaluation of North Korean Nuclear Strategy and the Influence of the Fifth Nuclear Test:Path Analysis of Denuclearization
Chang Hao,Wang Yi
Abstract:The issue North Korea has become central in the Korean Peninsula, and its core is about the nuclear military development of the country. The status quo of the Peninsula was in fact formulated in the transition period.During the time,Russia was much concerned with its domesticity while China took up the diplomacy more cooperative with the United States and Japan. Then the security concerns of North Korea grew more intense. And its development of nuclear weapons has become the way out. However, the reasons are not solitary for its development of nuclear weapons, which can be discerned in the case of North Korea. The attitude that the country has now refused to abandon its military nuclear right may be interpreted otherwise in the current situation. It is now necessary to re-evaluate North Korean nuclear issue from the perspective of denuclearization.
