在歐美人的婚禮上，除了婚禮進(jìn)行曲，也有很多經(jīng)典的流行音樂(lè)登堂入室，伴隨新娘走向紅毯的另一端，其中一首婚禮常客就是《我可曾表白》（Have I Told You Lately）。

歌手Rod Stewart

很多歌手都演唱過(guò)這首歌，其中最有影響力的應(yīng)該是英國(guó)搖滾歌手Rod Stewart于1993年推出的版本。正是由于Rod Stewart的演唱和推廣，這首歌得以在1993年的英美歌曲排行榜上進(jìn)入了前五名，同時(shí)歌壇也對(duì)這首款款情深的歌曲有了重新認(rèn)識(shí)。

歌曲中，歌手通過(guò)反復(fù)追問(wèn)“Have I told you lately that I love you”來(lái)表達(dá)他對(duì)愛人的無(wú)限深情。在他眼里，他的愛人無(wú)人能及，為他帶來(lái)歡樂(lè)，驅(qū)走憂愁，讓他在每個(gè)清晨的陽(yáng)光里充滿希望，感到慰藉。歌手不僅通過(guò)歌曲表達(dá)了對(duì)愛人的真摯情感，更通過(guò)一句“Have I told you lately that I love you”，道出了歌手隱藏在心中對(duì)愛人長(zhǎng)相廝守、日夜相伴的感恩和幾許愧疚。言外之意是說(shuō)“我愛你，請(qǐng)?jiān)徫液芫脹](méi)有告訴你”。

據(jù)說(shuō)，Rod Stewart在一次演唱這首歌時(shí)走心到動(dòng)容失聲，完全淹沒(méi)在他對(duì)時(shí)任妻子—演員兼模特Rachel Hunter的情感里。然而不幸的是，他們的婚姻在持續(xù)了九年后于1999年劃上了休止符。雖然他們的婚姻沒(méi)有善終，但并不妨礙這首歌所傳達(dá)出的真實(shí)情感和美好本意。

然而對(duì)于原唱而言，這首歌的本意卻并非為愛情所寫。這首歌最早發(fā)表于1989年，出自于北愛爾蘭著名歌手兼創(chuàng)作人Van Morrison的專輯Avalon Sunset。據(jù)說(shuō)Van Morrison創(chuàng)作這首歌曲的初衷是希望借此表達(dá)他對(duì)上帝的愛和感恩，他本人也承認(rèn)這首歌反映了很多精神層面的東西。從歌曲副歌部分的歌詞看，“Theres a love thats divine / And its yours and its mine like the sun / And at the end of the day / We should give thanks and pray / To the one to the one”也似乎更像是對(duì)上帝的表白。

英國(guó)詩(shī)人兼音樂(lè)學(xué)家Brian Hinton談到這首歌時(shí)曾表示：“One of the finest love songs of the century， which I remember devastated me when I first heard it， as it seemed both something never quite said before， and yet a song I felt I had known forever. Earthly love transmutes into that for God， just like in Dante （但丁，意大利詩(shī)人）， ‘theres a love thats divine and its yours and its mine.”

雖然原創(chuàng)者的初衷是向上帝致意，但幾經(jīng)演繹，聽眾也更廣泛地把這首歌定義為情歌范疇了。其實(shí)這也無(wú)妨，無(wú)論是對(duì)上帝還是對(duì)愛人，在關(guān)于真情與感激的表達(dá)上，語(yǔ)言都是相通的，情感也是近似的。本來(lái)愛就一個(gè)字，無(wú)論天地界限，它是屬于全人類、全宇宙的。
