Spring Festival plays a key celebration in China. Many traditional festivities across the world highlight primitive worship or celebrate special days or solar terms on calendar. Different cultures and lifestyles can be celebrated in different ways, but these are same differences: crowds, loud music and bright colors, parades. Chinese Spring Festival is a little bit different. Yes, celebrations and festivities of the Spring Festival are exciting. However, the traditional festival is also known as ?(過年), which is ceremoniously marked for a transition from the old year to another year which is completely new and brings about hopes for a better life. Its as if you reached a certain destination by taking a bus and now you start the next part of your journey by taking another bus. Spring Festival celebrations essentially consist of two major parts: it is about family and it is about the whole community no matter whether the community is a village, a town, a city, a province, or the whole nation.
