初冬的晚上,“歌聲飄過30年·胡雁獨(dú)唱重唱音樂會”在浙江音樂學(xué)院音樂廳激情唱響,著名女高音歌唱家胡雁攜手海歸低男中音歌唱家孫禹,以及她的學(xué)生們,在兩個(gè)多小時(shí)的音樂會上,為觀眾用德語、法語、俄語、意大利語和中文獻(xiàn)上了中外藝術(shù)歌曲和歌劇詠嘆調(diào)。而下半場學(xué)生們獻(xiàn)上的中國歌劇《原野》的主要詠嘆調(diào)和重唱片段,是胡雁近5年的教學(xué)中最值得書寫的。
從杭州轉(zhuǎn)塘浙音路1號的學(xué)校到位于富陽區(qū)的家,從春綠、秋黃到冬枯、萌芽,四季輪回,胡雁在這條320國道來來回回3年多。她不是在學(xué)校上課,就是在家輔導(dǎo)學(xué)生聲樂,很少進(jìn)城耍子兒。作為一名杭州土著,去西湖邊基本上靠導(dǎo)航。
從2010年受母校杭州師范大學(xué)邀請經(jīng)?;貋碇笇?dǎo)學(xué)生,到2014年胡雁正式?jīng)Q定離開東方歌舞團(tuán)調(diào)入浙江音樂學(xué)院聲樂歌劇系當(dāng)老師,迄今已經(jīng)5年。周末去陪陪媽媽,用燉鍋慢火燉紅棗本雞,就是很享受的周末生活,雞是74歲的媽媽從余杭親戚家捉來的走地雞。離媽媽更近些,是她選擇回鄉(xiāng)的重要理由。
時(shí)光倒回到1994年,26歲的雁子羽翼漸豐,撲打著翅膀,迫不及待地飛離她歌唱事業(yè)起步的杭州歌舞團(tuán),到日思夜想的中國東方歌舞團(tuán)擔(dān)任一名獨(dú)唱演員?!熬┢钡母士嘀挥凶约褐?,20年搬了8次家,她哭過,想回家,但她還是掙扎著撲打著翅膀,奮斗不止,唱成了“東方夜鶯”,也被媒體稱為“東方莎拉·布萊曼”。
歌聲飄過30年。25年前我通過采訪與她相識,一直默默為她喝彩,遙望她舞臺上的輝煌。最近一次見面,是坐在浙江音樂學(xué)院的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)音樂廳,欣賞她“蓄謀已久”的獨(dú)唱重唱音樂會,這離上一次她的獨(dú)唱音樂會,已經(jīng)過去了8年。
入冬了,盡管太陽高懸,坐在她位于富陽區(qū)家中的二樓陽臺上,我還是冷。雁子貼心地拿來一件披肩給我,性格中已有幾分北方人的豪爽和大大咧咧,但還是說一口悅耳的杭州話,間雜一陣銀鈴般的大笑。沒有舞臺妝,她素顏,居家運(yùn)動(dòng)衣,長發(fā)披肩。我們的話題就從這場音樂會談起。
一場音樂會的呈現(xiàn),要感謝太多有緣人
雁子,恭喜你演出成功。你已經(jīng)功成名就,當(dāng)導(dǎo)師了,為什么還要在52歲的年紀(jì)辦一場音樂會?
為了教學(xué)相長。展現(xiàn)在音樂會上的歌曲基本上是我熟悉的但沒有仔細(xì)雕琢的,那么到現(xiàn)在這個(gè)年紀(jì),對歌曲的處理與年輕的時(shí)候是不一樣了,音樂會是最好的歷練,所以這幾年心里一直在想這件事,付諸行動(dòng)大概是半年前吧。我現(xiàn)在的體力和聲線還在峰值,專業(yè)是最成熟的,舉辦音樂會也是鍛煉自己的意志吧。
這次音樂會曲目上半場我有7首獨(dú)唱,另外3首是與孫禹老師的歌劇《原野》重唱。下半場則是我輔導(dǎo)學(xué)生排練的歌劇《原野》的詠嘆調(diào)和重唱片段,這比我個(gè)人訓(xùn)練還要費(fèi)心思,就像一只老母雞一樣,催著小雞們快快長大。
我注意到舞臺上沒有放置話筒,是不是美聲唱法都這樣的?
音樂廳的舞臺臺口有收音設(shè)備,我們美聲是不用話筒的,這是個(gè)體力加腦力的活。半年前開始我每天做仰臥起坐、慢跑。我經(jīng)常對學(xué)生說,專業(yè)好,還要體力好,像我的老領(lǐng)導(dǎo)原杭州歌舞團(tuán)副團(tuán)長陳紅冰,她70歲了,還每天堅(jiān)持快走,堅(jiān)持練聲,皮膚可好了。這次音樂會她也來現(xiàn)場了,我要向她學(xué)習(xí)。
我注意到你這場音樂會節(jié)目單上印有兩行名言:沒有音樂,生活將是一場錯(cuò)誤——尼采;對視舞臺為生命的歌唱家來說,當(dāng)語言結(jié)束的時(shí)候,就是音樂的開始——德彪西??梢哉f說你學(xué)美聲路上,誰是影響你最深的人嗎?
我大學(xué)的啟蒙老師是杭州師范大學(xué)音樂學(xué)院的高佩輝副教授,她今年85歲了,對我影響最深。她不但是我的聲樂老師,而且還是我的藝術(shù)指導(dǎo)。在校期間,高老師經(jīng)常為我加課,這為我以后的演唱打下了一個(gè)非常好的基礎(chǔ)。我至今還保留著30年前畢業(yè)音樂會演唱的錄音,難得的是她親自登臺為我伴奏。前幾年高老師裝了心臟起搏器,她容易激動(dòng),我就勸她不要來聽我的音樂會了,但我給她看了回放視頻。我很感謝她,視她為我的人生導(dǎo)師。當(dāng)然,我到東方歌舞團(tuán)后,還遇到過更多的名師點(diǎn)撥,如我探索美聲唱法與中國戲曲音樂的演唱方法的結(jié)合,在舞臺上演唱了許多國外著名的民歌、電影插曲、音樂劇以及中國民歌,得到了葛朝祉、郭淑珍、吳其輝、唐放元、潘麗君等多位名師的指點(diǎn)。更重要的是名師教我學(xué)習(xí)方法。比如郭淑珍教授就要求我們,如果唱意大利歌或其他語種的歌曲,要每天先讀兩三百遍歌詞,舌頭順了再去唱。這種良好的習(xí)慣現(xiàn)在延續(xù)給了我的學(xué)生。
所以你2011年、2013年兩次去了意大利威爾第音樂學(xué)院進(jìn)修?
是的,意大利是西洋音樂的重要誕生地之一。初學(xué)時(shí)好比是在一只籠子里,各種東西鎖住你,按部就班,慢慢熟練形成習(xí)慣后,就可以飛出籠子了。飛上去后就不是民航小飛機(jī),而是穿透大氣層的宇宙飛船了。唱到那個(gè)境界,有身輕如燕、直上云霄的美,妙不可言。
看你膝蓋上有擦傷,聽說是音樂會后第三天出門倒垃圾的時(shí)候摔的?
音樂會當(dāng)晚一直很亢奮,無數(shù)束鮮花圍繞著我,有同事領(lǐng)導(dǎo)送的,好朋友送的,學(xué)生們送的,抱著只顧傻樂,到了凌晨還睡不著,像新婚似的,覺得這些花都特別的美。第二天還興奮著,到第三天,才覺得困極了,渾身乏力,晚上出家門倒垃圾,腳一軟,摔得不輕。唉,真的是走路都會睡著。
我注意到你的音樂會助演嘉賓著名歌唱家孫禹,也是音樂會的藝術(shù)總指導(dǎo),你們是老朋友嗎?
認(rèn)識時(shí)間不長,是我們聲樂歌劇系請他講“文學(xué)與歌劇”后認(rèn)識的。我特別敬佩他的才氣。他還是中國作協(xié)會員,創(chuàng)作過自傳體長篇音樂小說《悲劇英雄》《漂泊英雄》等,還編過歌劇文學(xué)劇本。我在給學(xué)生排練《原野》時(shí),得到他很多的幫助,尤其在音樂會前的10天排練,學(xué)生們無論是演唱,還是對人物的理解、臺詞的準(zhǔn)確性,都有了更深層面的認(rèn)識和提高。
所以一場音樂會的呈現(xiàn),要感謝的人太多太多,從觀眾到演職人員,都是我生命里有緣分的人。
從名角到老師,學(xué)生叫她“胡媽媽”
你在北京都20年了,是怎么想到回杭州當(dāng)老師的?
我這人骨子里很不安分,年輕的時(shí)候更是,當(dāng)時(shí)想一輩子守著西湖多沒出息。2006年8月,我父親在杭州病逝的時(shí)候,我遠(yuǎn)在新疆演出,沒有見上最后一面。奔喪結(jié)束后返回京城,我驟然想到了“父母在,不遠(yuǎn)游”。
大概是2010年前后吧,我受母校杭州師范大學(xué)音樂學(xué)院邀請,經(jīng)?;貋砩险n,2011年我還被聘為杭州師范大學(xué)“錢塘學(xué)者”講座教授。杭州很舒服,但北京有我的事業(yè),我一邊留戀著,一邊糾結(jié)著。浙江音樂學(xué)院一籌建,我就聽從內(nèi)心的召喚回家了,把工作重心從舞臺轉(zhuǎn)到了教學(xué)上。我喜歡北京的藝術(shù)氛圍和一幫朋友,現(xiàn)在只有寒暑假才有機(jī)會去北京過過耳癮、見見朋友。平時(shí)我就兩點(diǎn)一線,宅得很,學(xué)校的課太多了,一周我有20多節(jié)課。
別人見到我說,你怎么沒有北京大腕的做派啊,我哈哈一笑過去了。我心里還是有些小驕傲的,除了歲數(shù)上去,我的性情沒有變,我還是西湖邊飛出來的那只傻雁子。
湖南衛(wèi)視推出過一檔原創(chuàng)新形態(tài)聲樂演唱節(jié)目《聲入人心》,讓普通人認(rèn)識了美聲唱法和背后的歌者。你平時(shí)是怎么當(dāng)導(dǎo)師的?
我也關(guān)注到了《聲入人心》,感謝它為我們普及了美聲唱法。
我對學(xué)生說,天生好嗓是老天爺給你賞飯吃,不要辜負(fù)了,你經(jīng)常要想想唱什么樣的歌,要成為什么樣的人。
學(xué)生們都叫我胡媽媽,因?yàn)槲易约簺]有孩子,而我心里又很喜歡孩子?,F(xiàn)在的我就是好好教學(xué),好好歌唱,多點(diǎn)時(shí)間培養(yǎng)學(xué)生,見證他們的成長和蛻變。
要說培養(yǎng)好苗苗,就是無心插柳和有心栽花兩種。我的秘訣是,多栽柳多栽花,總有一朵花會開,總有一枝柳會搖擺。浙江音樂學(xué)院起點(diǎn)較高,設(shè)施一流,為學(xué)生單獨(dú)訓(xùn)練的琴房就有200多間,還能通過交換生途徑盡可能多地為學(xué)生提供出國深造的機(jī)會。
這5年我還是蠻拼的,我很少進(jìn)城,多位學(xué)生在省青年歌唱家大賽暨金鐘獎(jiǎng)選拔賽、全國“孔雀杯”高等藝術(shù)院校聲樂大賽、全國藝術(shù)院校歌劇、聲樂展演等專業(yè)賽事中斬獲佳績。
就說我的學(xué)生梁齊蓉吧,她在音樂會下半場的《原野》中扮演焦母,2018年在我導(dǎo)演的《雷雨》中飾演繁漪,這兩張劇照放在一起,蠻有意思的,一個(gè)本科三年級的學(xué)生能演跨度這么大的角色,難能可貴。小梁是山西平遙人,2017級本科生。姑娘是女中音的聲線,屬于老天爺賞飯吃的那種,但是后天更努力。剛進(jìn)學(xué)校,她毛遂自薦來找我,要當(dāng)我學(xué)生。我說我的名額滿了,她說就當(dāng)旁聽生好了,太會粘人。她是在鋼琴自習(xí)室最用功的學(xué)生。晚上練完自習(xí),就去操場跑圈,很自律。這樣的金子,到哪里都會閃光!
你家離市區(qū)40多公里,這里很冷清,住得慣么?
我現(xiàn)在是要避熱鬧,睡在富春山下,失眠都沒有了,一覺睡到天亮。難得的休息天,我就東摸摸西弄弄,半天辰光一歇歇就過去了。唉,都半個(gè)月沒有去看媽媽了!
未來有何新打算?
最近幾年就是好好教學(xué),堅(jiān)持學(xué)習(xí)語言,這個(gè)很重要;還有就是準(zhǔn)備下一場音樂會,如果能演一兩出歌劇最好。哈哈。
我和她面對面或微信聊著,有一搭沒一搭。她不造作,坦陳她“京漂”生活的苦痛,裝修房子時(shí)做預(yù)算的斤斤計(jì)較;她有強(qiáng)烈的臧否,喜歡的人就擁抱那人的所有,看不慣哪個(gè),就覺得周遭的空氣都讓人惡心;她心眼淺,因?yàn)閿?shù)學(xué)不好,所以算計(jì)能力弱;她很后悔,說自己沒定心,小時(shí)候沒有多讀閑書,所以她尊重學(xué)者,尊重文化。世故如我,怕她受傷,但轉(zhuǎn)念一想,在簡單面前,我想多了。
Hu Yan, a professor at the Vocal and Opera Department of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music (ZJCM), held a concert on November 6, 2019 in commemoration of the 30 years of her singing career. The concert was held at a concert hall on the campus of ZJCM. Her colleagues and students also performed.
She world have held such a concert in Beijing hadnt she come back from Beijing to Hangzhou in 2014.
In 1994, the 26-year-old Hu Yan, then a soprano at Hangzhou Song & Dance Ensemble, left Hangzhou for Beijing. She became a soprano at the Oriental Song & Dance Ensemble. For her, Beijing was a bigger theater and she had better career opportunities. She was right.
In her 20-year-stay in Beijing, she established herself as a brilliant vocalist and appeared in a great number of performances. However, it wasnt easy for her to make it in the countrys capital. In the 20 years, she moved eight times. And she missed Hangzhou, her hometown.
The first step she took for her journey to home occurred in 2010 when Hangzhou Normal University, her alma mater, invited her to teach student vocalists. In 2011, she was engaged as a guest professor. As a Hangzhou native, she naturally felt at home in Hangzhou, but Beijing was the center of her career. She was torn apart by her homesickness and her career center. She made up her mind after learning that the province was going to set up a higher education institute for music. Since she came back in 2014, she has shifted her career focus from performing to teaching. She settled down in Fuyang, now a district of Hangzhou, as ZJCM is located closer to Fuyang than to downtown Hangzhou. The conservatory started operation in 2016. Over the past three years, she has traveled between home and workplace by National Highway 302 numerous times. She teaches at ZJCM and she gives private lessons at home. She almost has no time for a visit to downtown Hangzhou. Though a native of Hangzhou, she now needs a car navigation system to tell her how to get to the West Lake.
I first met Hu Yan 25 years ago. The other day, I visited Hu Yan at her home in Fuyang. We spent a lot of time catching up. I learned some more details about her career and her decisions to go to Beijing and come back home.
She took an advanced course in the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan, Italy respectively in 2011 and 2013. The study there helped her a great deal.
Her last concert in Beijing took place in 2011. It was the 16th year of her stay in the capital. In 2019, the 52-year-old soprano thought it was time to hold another concert. To prepare herself, she jogged and did sit-ups every day for six months prior to the concert. As a ?vocalist, she uses no acoustic equipment to get her voice through to audience members at the back of a concert hall. So she needed to be physically fit even though she believes she is still at the height of her career.
The concert gave her an opportunity to translate her new insight into her singing. Though familiar with all the songs she was going to perform at the concert, she thought she needed to work at the songs with the care and precision of a sculptor. After all, the last concert was eight years ago and now she understood more about ?and about the songs she wanted to sing perfectly.
In our chat at her home, Hu Yan naturally mentioned those who had helped her career. Her mentor Gao Peihui, now 85, helped her get a solid foundation while the young vocalist studied under Gaos tutelage at Hangzhou Normal University so many years ago. During her stay in Beijing, she was lucky enough to have more teachers such as Ge Chaozhi, Guo Shuzhen, Wu Qihui, Tang Fangyuan, and Pan Lijun. She learned a great deal from these masters. Many a method she uses nowadays to teach her students are originally from her masters.
And Hu Yan is proud of ZJCN and proud of her students. In her eye, ZJCM is a very good school. It has a full range of state-of-the art facilities including nine concert halls, 102 rehearsal halls, 842 practice rooms and six top-notch recording studios. Some of her students have won top prizes at various national competitions
Her concert in November 2019 was a success and she was very happy and excited for days afterwards. When asked about her future plans, she said she will continue to focus on teaching in the next few years. She will continue her language studies: the Russian, the Italian, the English and the French, for languages are a must for opera singing. She wants to appear in some opera plays. And she is dreaming of another concert, though the timeline for the future concert is not definitive at present.
