Whats the most popular food in the UK？ It must be fish and chips. They love the dish very much！

Fish and chips has a long history in the UK. People started to eat it 150 years ago. Now there are about 10，500 fish and chips shops in the UK.

What is on the side of the dish？ There are usually mushy peas（豌豆泥）， curry sauce（咖喱醬）， ketchup（番茄醬） and a piece of lemon.

Use egg， milk and flour（面粉） to make a batter（蛋糊）. Put the fish in the batter. Then fry（油炸） the fish.

Peel（削皮） a potato. Then cut it into fingers（指狀物） and fry them. Unlike our thin chips， chips in the UK are thick（粗的）.

British peoples favorite is cod（鱈魚）. The fish is high in protein（蛋白質(zhì)） and low in fat. They also eat many other kinds of fish.

Fish and chips is the favorite takeout（外賣的） food in the UK. People like to take it home as lunch or dinner.

Fish and chips is delicious. But its not very healthy. So dont eat too much！
