本項目重點塑造了新型的合院模式——由6戶有機組成的“六合院”別墅。每個合院都是一個層進式的空間體系：兩進公共庭院－私家院落－家。內向性私家庭院與半公共庭院的融合，賦予院落新的生命。私家庭院是每戶家庭生活的中心，是傳統(tǒng)住宅空間的延續(xù)；公共庭院是6戶共享的交流場所、社區(qū)生活的單元，成為現(xiàn)代城市生活的一部分?？紤]到北方氣候特征，建筑單體充分滿足當?shù)鼐用駥τ诓晒狻⑼L等方面的需求，摒棄了傳統(tǒng)合院對于居住功能的物理性缺失，強調傳統(tǒng)空間與現(xiàn)代生活的結合。注重空間尺度的控制，將建筑高度控制在兩層以內，以塑造宜人的庭院尺度。立面設計上，通過提煉中式建筑的典型形式語言，運用現(xiàn)代的建筑材料與構造方式，演繹了一種新中式格調的建筑風格。

The project focuses on the introduction of a new "six-unit courtyard villa" layout which organically unifies six units together. Each courtyard villa is composed of a series of sequential spaces, including two public yards, a private courtyard and the home space. A new courtyard-life-style is created through the combination of introverted private yard and the semi-public yards. The private courtyard is the main space for the residents' daily life and a continuation of the traditional way of living. The public yard is the communal space for all six families and a unit for social lives, thus becoming an important part of the modern urban life. The design pays attention to the control of scale, limiting the above-ground building height within two levels so as to create a pleasant scale for the courtyards. In the facade design, through extracting typical elements of Chinese architectural language and adopting modern materials and tectonics, we produced a Neo-Chinese architecture style.
