浙大版《新編大學(xué)英語(yǔ)》第3冊(cè)第7單元The Joy of Travel是關(guān)于旅行話題，為促進(jìn)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)技能的提高，在課堂教學(xué)中，老師可將學(xué)生分成若干小組，設(shè)置若干問(wèn)題，小組討論后分別進(jìn)行口頭陳述，具體從旅行詞匯聯(lián)想、列舉最佳交通工具、導(dǎo)游講解、總結(jié)旅行意義四個(gè)方面進(jìn)行口語(yǔ)操練。

一、旅行相關(guān)詞匯聯(lián)想

旅行的英文表達(dá)：journey，voyage，tour，trip，excursion

出行交通方式：CRH，plane，ship，train，coach，bus

風(fēng)景名勝詞匯：scenery，landscape，places of interest，historic sites，mountain，beach，scenic spots，resort，museum

旅行中的娛樂(lè)活動(dòng)：sunbathing，horse-back riding，skating，skiing，surfing，sailing

旅行攜帶物品：backpack，sleeping bag，tent，baggage，suitcase，camera，cash，credit card，map，passport，visa，guidebook，compass，telescope

旅行住宿：hotel，hostel，motel，mountain refuge，pub，B&B，inn

二、小組陳述最佳出行方式及理由

Question：Which means of transportation do you like best ?Give your reasons.

Group1 I like having a trip by bike best because

— I can exercise myself by riding a bike.

— It doesn’t make the air polluted like cars.

Group2 I like traveling by CRH best for

— It’s not only fast but convenient.

— Poeple feel very comfortable on the train.

Group3 I like traveling by ship best for

— I can enjoy the sound of the waves，the sunset and seagulls.

— It is slow but it’s romantic.

Group4 I prefer to taking a trip by airplane for

— It’s both fast and convenient.

— I can have a bird’s view of the wonderful scenery.

三、當(dāng)導(dǎo)游介紹家鄉(xiāng)

學(xué)生模擬當(dāng)導(dǎo)游的講解詞要涵蓋歡迎詞、日程安排、描述風(fēng)景等內(nèi)容。

It’s a great honor for me to be your tour guide.I warmly welcome all the respected visitors from America to my beautiful hometown Hangzhou.

We can visit such interesting sites as the Broken Bridge，Lingyin Temple，Yellow Dragon Cave and so on.First，we’ll visit the famous Lingyin Temple from 9：00 to 10：00 a.m.You will be greatly impressed by the tranquility of the temple.The Broken Bridge will be visited next.We may appreciate some legends of the Broken Bridge and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the West Lake from the boat.At noon，we can taste the delicious dishes like Dongpo Pork and Beggar’s Chicken.After lunch，we’ll visit Yellow Dragon Cave.At 4：30 you may buy some souvenirs such a silk scarf or a silk fan in the market nearby.At 5：30，we will go to the hotel by coach.Have a good time!

四、口述旅行的趣味性和重要性

學(xué)生可根據(jù)個(gè)人的旅行經(jīng)歷，描述旅行為什么有趣，為什么旅行對(duì)人有益。

1.Traveling is fancinating and full of fun.

2.You can see a lot of strange things.

3.It’s helpful to learn about different cultures and customs on a trip.

4.It can broaden our scope of knowledge.

5.We will obtain new information.

6.It will make me have a good state of mind.

7.Traveling can bring me unexpected pleasure，
