Currently, Temporary Provisions on the Survey and Design of Sichuan-Tibet Railway (revised draft for comment), compiled by China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREEC), was made public for comments. For the first time, the document reveals that the design speed of Sichuan-Tibet Railway is 200km/h. After completion, a bullet train will take passengers from Chengdu to Lhasa with a journey of only 13 hours, rather than the previous 36 hours.
