◇詞語(yǔ)用法

interesting&interested

interesting和interested都是形容詞，但用法不同。interesting意為“有趣的”，其主語(yǔ)通常是事物；interested意為 “感興趣的”，其主語(yǔ)通常是人，be interested in(doing)sth.意為“對(duì)（做）某事感興趣”。例如：

That question is really interesting.那個(gè)問(wèn)題十分有趣。

I am interested in skating and I spend a lot of time on it.我對(duì)滑冰感興趣，并且在滑冰上花了很多時(shí)間。

【知識(shí)拓展】

interest用作名詞時(shí)，意為“興趣；趣味”。interest用作動(dòng)詞時(shí)，意為“使感興趣；使關(guān)注”。例如：

Henry's interests are listening to music and playing tennis.亨利的興趣是聽(tīng)音樂(lè)和打網(wǎng)球。

Politics doesn't interest me.我對(duì)政治不感興趣。

ago&before

ago意為“以前”，只作副詞，一般放在表示時(shí)間段的詞語(yǔ)之后。before用作副詞時(shí)，可單獨(dú)使用，意為“以前”；也可以用作介詞或連詞，意為“在……以前”。例如：

Two years ago,he was still a student.兩年前，他還是個(gè)學(xué)生。

Li Ming usually gets up before 7：30.李明通常七點(diǎn)半之前起床。

I didn't know much about Hangzhou before I went there.在去杭州之前，我對(duì)那兒不怎么了解。

shout at&shout to

shout作動(dòng)詞，意為“呼叫；喊叫”，常與介詞at或to連用。shout at sb.表示“生氣地或敵意地對(duì)某人大喊大叫”；shout to sb.表示“大聲叫某人”或“大聲對(duì)某人說(shuō)話”，以引起別人的注意，無(wú)辱罵或生氣的意思。例如：

The little girl got very dirty and her mother shouted at her.這個(gè)小女孩很臟，她媽媽沖她大聲叫喊。

She shouted to me,but I didn't hear her.她大聲叫我，但我沒(méi)有聽(tīng)到。

thousand&thousands of

thousand意為“千”，當(dāng)其前面有具體數(shù)字時(shí)，thousand后面不加“s”，用來(lái)修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞；當(dāng)thousand前面沒(méi)有具體數(shù)字時(shí)，thousand后要加“s”。常用短語(yǔ)為thousands of，意為“成千上萬(wàn)的”，表示不確定的數(shù)量，修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞。例如：

The new computer cost me four thou-sand yuan.這臺(tái)新電腦花了我4，000元。

Thousands of people come to visit the Terracotta Army every year.每年都有成千上萬(wàn)的人來(lái)參觀兵馬俑。

among&between

among是介詞，意為“在……中；……之一”，表示在三者或三者以上的人或物之中，后面常接復(fù)數(shù)名詞、代詞或集合名詞；between多指在兩者之間，其賓語(yǔ)往往是表示兩者意義的名詞或代詞，或是由and連接的兩個(gè)人或物。例如：

John isthe tallestboy among the three.約翰是那三個(gè)男孩中最高的。

Xi'an is among the most beautiful cities in China.西安是中國(guó)最漂亮的城市之一。

How is the relationship between them?他們倆之間的關(guān)系怎么樣？

I sat down between Tina and Anna.我坐在蒂娜和安娜中間。
