【摘要】詞匯是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的基石,是學(xué)習(xí)者學(xué)好英語(yǔ)最重要的一個(gè)方面,而詞匯記憶是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程中的基本障礙。本文將艾賓浩斯遺忘曲線靈活運(yùn)用到詞匯記憶中,以期為提高學(xué)習(xí)者的英語(yǔ)詞匯記憶效率提供有效的借鑒。筆者以西安宏橋中學(xué)學(xué)生(95人)作為研究對(duì)象,對(duì)比他們的前測(cè)和后測(cè)的成績(jī),并對(duì)任課教師和實(shí)驗(yàn)班幾名學(xué)生進(jìn)行訪談。研究結(jié)果表明基于艾賓浩斯遺忘曲線規(guī)律的詞匯記憶策略提高了學(xué)習(xí)者的詞匯學(xué)習(xí)記憶效果。

【Abstract】Vocabulary is the cornerstone of English learning and its one of the most important aspects for learners to learn English well, while vocabulary memory is a fundamental obstacle in English learning.? In this paper, the Ebbinghaus Memory Curve Theory is flexibly applied to vocabulary memory in order to provide effective reference for improving the efficiency of learners English vocabulary memory.? The author picked out 95 students in Xian Hongqiao middle school as research subjects.? Compared with the scores of them as well as interviewed the teacher and students in experimental class respectively.? The results showed that vocabulary memory strategies based on Ebbinghaus Memory Curve improved learners English vocabulary memorization effectively.

1. Ebbinghaus Memory Curve
The German psychologist H. Ebbinghaus discovered that forgetting begins immediately after learning and the process of forgetting is unbalanced.? The rate of forgetting is rapid at first, and then it gradually slow down.? In his view, “Retention and forgetting are functions of time”.? He regarded nonsense syllables (Syllables composed of letters of syllables that can be read, but have no content meaning, that is, syllables that are not words) as memory materials, and calculated the amount of retention and forgetting with saving method.? According to his experimental results, the famous Ebbinghaus Memory Curve was drawn to describe the forgetting process, which can be seen in the following.

2. 1 Research Questions
First, can learners vocabulary learning and memorizing be improved by using the vocabulary memory strategies based on Ebbinghaus Memory Curve compared with the original vocabulary memory methods?
Second, what is the feedback of the learners and their teacher on the use of the vocabulary memory strategies based on Ebbinghaus Memory Curve?
2. 2 Research Subjects
The subjects in the research involve an English teacher and students from two parallel classes, 95 students in total, to help the author finish data collection.? All the samples are from Grade one of Hongqiao middle school, which is a general junior high school in Xian area.? And they are all non-native speakers of English.
