[Abstract] Objective: To observe the effect of evidence-based nursing on prevention of long-term indwelling catheter infection in deep vein. Method: A total of 90 tumor patients with long-term indwelling catheter of deep vein in our hospital (October 2017 to October 2019) were randomly divided into the control group (45 cases) and the evidence-based group (45 cases), in which the control group received routine nursing and the evidence-based group received evidence-based nursing. The incidence of infection and other complications, satisfaction score of nursing and quality of life score were compared between the two groups. Result: The infection rate of the evidence-based group was 2.22%, and the incidence of other complications was 0, which were significantly lower than those of the control group (15.56%, 13.33%), there were significant differences in two groups (P<0.05), and the satisfaction score of the evidence-based group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After the intervention, the WHOQOL-BREF scores of the two groups were significantly higher, among which the WHOQOL-BREF scores of the evidence-based group were significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: Evidence-based nursing intervention can significantly reduce the incidence of infection and other complications in patients with tumor who have long-term indwelling catheter in deep vein, improve the satisfaction score of patients with nursing, and the effect is ideal.
