“畫龍點(diǎn)睛”出自唐朝張彥遠(yuǎn)《歷代名畫記·張僧繇》。后用以比喻寫作文或講話時(shí)，于關(guān)鍵處用一兩警句點(diǎn)明要旨，使內(nèi)容更為精辟有力。

南北朝時(shí)期，有一位畫家名叫張僧繇，他的繪畫技術(shù)非常高超,尤其善于人物故事畫和宗教畫。

據(jù)說(shuō)，張僧繇在一座寺廟的墻上畫了四條龍，但沒(méi)有給龍點(diǎn)上眼珠。旁人問(wèn)他為什么不點(diǎn)上眼珠，他說(shuō)：“一旦點(diǎn)上眼珠，龍就會(huì)飛走。”大家認(rèn)為他的話是無(wú)稽之談，再三勸他點(diǎn)上眼珠。張僧繇最終給四條龍中的兩條龍點(diǎn)上了眼珠。突然，天空電閃雷鳴，兩條點(diǎn)上眼珠的龍竟然真的飛走了，而另外兩條沒(méi)點(diǎn)眼珠的龍還留在墻壁上。

人們驚嘆不已。
