摘要英語寫作是大學生最難培養(yǎng)的技能之一。寫好文章必須從最小的單位句子開始。本文主要從三個方面討論:一是練好基本句型;二是使句子添彩;三是仿寫好句子。通過結(jié)合實例,介紹了通過練習切實提高寫作能力的方法。

從培根的名言:“讀書使人充實,討論使人機敏,寫作使人精確”可以看出寫作重要且難度較高。很多學生意識到寫作的重要性但不知從何做起,筆者以自己三年的教學經(jīng)驗來談?wù)劥髮W生該如何切實提高自己的寫作水平。
1 練好基本句型
寫作能力差的學生從寫一個句子開始練習。要堅持“句—段—篇”的訓練程序,由易到難,循序漸進。英語句子按其結(jié)構(gòu)分為四類,即簡單句、并列句、復合句和并列復合句。
(1)練習簡單句的五種基本句型。五種基本結(jié)構(gòu):主謂、主謂補、主謂賓、主謂賓賓和主謂賓補。
(2)練習復合句的六大類。六大類:主語從句、表語從句、賓語從句、定語從句、同位語從句和狀語從句。從課本中不難看出復雜一點的句子基本上都是這些從句,是由單句的5種基本句型縮略或擴展而成。
2 如何使句子添彩
有時即使掌握了基本句型的寫作,但句子還是平實無味,怎樣“裝扮”自己的文章而使之“熠熠生輝”呢?
(1)添加副詞。
例:I could obviously afford a very good solicitor.
(2)使用同位語和插入語。
例:My best friend, Annie, works in a famous company.
例:This ancient church, built in the 16 century, has been in danger of collapse.
(3)使用強調(diào)句和倒裝句。
例:It was on Monday night that all this happened.
例:Only in this way,can we solve this problem.
(4)使用修辭手法。
雙重否定。例:No victory comes without a price.
夸張。例:His father hit the ceiling to know of her bad grades.
明喻。例:He is as poor as a church mouse.
暗喻。例:I was inwardly all white flag.
平行結(jié)構(gòu)。例:We need to discover, as my kids did, that there is more than one right answer, there is more than one right question and there is more than on e way to look at a body of information.
3 創(chuàng)造性寫作:選擇多種句法結(jié)構(gòu),句型進行仿寫
(1)模仿不同類型結(jié)構(gòu)為首的例子。
以副詞為首
例:Eventually, I was officially charged and told to report to Richmond magistrates court the following Monday.
以分詞短語為首
例:Being very short of money and wanting to do something useful, I got a part-time job.
以介詞短語為首
例:As a result I arrived on a hot June morning too depressed to feel nervous.
不斷總結(jié)這類不同類型結(jié)構(gòu)開頭的句子,使自己的句子多樣化。
(2)模仿句中的經(jīng)典部分。
原文:When it comes to the increasing use of motor vehicles in Beijing, some people think that use should be limited.
仿寫:When it comes to housework, some people think that woman should do the job.
(3)模仿名言名句。
原文:To err is human, to forgive, divine (Alexander Pope)
仿寫:To work is exhausting, to loaf, refreshing.
4 積累詞匯
除了基本詞匯外,一定要積累具有強烈表達能力和描述能力的詞匯。在閱讀當中,遇到好的詞匯一定要做筆記,對詞匯進行歸類,寫作時才不會詞窮。

綜上所述,學生如能按照上述方法不斷在閱讀中進行總結(jié)歸納和練習培養(yǎng)自身的寫作能力,語言表達才會更流暢而豐富。
